Wallace Wade split?

Given the circumstances of opener and labor day weekend, and the fact that duke averages 25k a game (embarrassing) should we expect 60-40 orange? Hoping to make it, but I expect more orange than usual in Cameron, even though we always do.

Really sad for a program that is coming off of a 9 win season. Just another reason to leave this sad conference.

We, and every other visiting team, don't have a chance to have seats in Cameron because they are filled every game. I think visitors get something like 50 tickets in Cameron.

I guess that does make sense why the football stadium is so empty - the Duke fans are sitting in the basketball coliseum during the game! :)

Even in years when Duke has a bit of talent, there is a huge Clemson presence at Wallace Wade stadium.

For many years, Duke sold “general admission” tickets in the end zone for $10 and you could sit pretty much anywhere you wanted to.

Barring that, you could stroll through the Duke parking area and easily buy a ticket for no more than $10.

When we went down beat Miami in 2004 and it was obvious that a huge crowd of Clemson fans would be coming up the next week, the Duke AD wised up ad did away with the cheap tickets, looking to cash in on our high enthusiasm at the time.

Face value is about as low as you’ll ever find now.

I have attended games there on a number of prior occasions and I honestly don't recall one time when the Clemson fans didn't outnumber the home crowd.

In 1967 we played a freshman game at Duke in Wallace Wade. The stands were empty......not a soul. 2 years later we were back for the varsity game and Duke had one of the top QB's in the nation in Leo Hart. I bet there were not 15k at the game. Duke is an Ivy League school who somehow got lost and drifted south.
