Cop murdering that man In north Charleston.
my grandma could have caught and tackled that man, it has to be one of the slowest "runs" I've ever seen.
And the cop placing the taser next to him? (Although even if that man did indeed have the taser, the cop imo would still be in the wrong)
I'm just thankful for justice, and for that man's family that someone just happened to be in the area and was able to catch it on video. Otherwise, that cop would still be working imho.

True.
Both times I watched, I kept thinking at any time that cop will notice the young man filming and confiscate it or worse.

How did the cop NOT notice the guy?

He wasn't that far away. Seemed to be in plain site. And was talking. If I murder someone, I'm gonna take a quick glance around to see who saw me/video-ed me.

Then later one of the other cops told him not to come to close.

the cop was a ######. He had to run back and get the taser after telling distpatch the guy took his taser.
as far as going on a murdering rampage and hopping over a 12 foot fence to retrieve the dudes camera, that is a bit of a stretch.

What's tough to watch about the whole thing is that, like you said, he not REALLY running. It's almost like he was acting in desparation and flailing before the cop even started firing. A lot of speculation obviously, but it would seem to me that the cop had either already said or done something that made dude feel like he was in danger. This wasn't a reactive kind of thing on the part of the cop from a glance at the video.
Very strange and hopefully they'll find out the details in the ongoing investigation.

from the video it looks like he sees the other cop drop the stun gun near the body. Just wondering what the story is there.

One question from the video?
Apr 9, 2015, 8:18 AM
|
|
What did that guy see or hear that made him decide to start filming? Seems like incredible timing that he started the video just as the guy turned and ran and got shot.
Do you think there is a longer version that shows the situation escalating?

I have no idea, Maybe there is a longer version.
But, I'd bet it wouldn't help the officer.

This is an open and shut case; there was absolutely no reason to shoot the guy dead.

And the tall fence was there. I don't know how far the went but it looked to me that the guy didn't have many places to run.
Looks like he was trapped with that criminal cop on one side, a fence on one side and the other officer on one side. He wasn't going anywhere

getting pulled over for burnt out taillights? We use cameras to catch red red light runners, why can't we use the dash cameras to take pictures of the bad taillight and mail that #### in?

It's not really the tail light ticket they are after.
Cops profile and use the minor infractions as a way to pull people over. Then they ask questions and such to get you to further implicate yourself of something else. Hence the rule, never commit more than one crime at a time.

True but I think that depends on who the cop is.
I've had one stop me and just let me know my tail light was burned out. No ticket or anything.
Then I had one stop me one night about 9 pm about a tail light but kept asking "where you been, where you headed?" I asked him did he notice the several bags of groceries sitting in passenger seat, that should give him a clue.

Truth

Got pulled by a Mt. P cop a few months ago. He saw me leaving a bar, but I had just stopped in for dinner and a beer. Due to the stickers on the back of my car, I think he thought I was a teenager. He seemed surprised when he saw how old I was. I wasn't speeding. He claimed my license tag light was out. Gave me a warning. When I got home, the light was working fine.
They'll sometimes look for minor reasons if they suspect a bigger prize.

Headlight was out, didn't notice until about 10:30 one night, too late to do a #### thing about it. I had to work that night and was having a late dinner. Since I noticed that the headlight was out, I didn't even have a beer.
Well, on the way home, I see a cop pulled to the side of 526. Being that it was dark, I both slowed down and got in the other lane. Sorry ####### pulled me anyway. I just know he knew he had him a ######## easy DUI on his hands. Sorry ###### still wrote me the ticket for the headlight and made me go to the court house with the receipt showing I fixed it.
