Venables vs Goodwin

Not sure why people keep comparing Goodwin to BV. It's not like Clemson got rid of BV and hired Goodwin. BV left. It's not like they can get him back. Clemson now has a new Defensive Coordinator. Of course it's going to be different. Turn the page and stop bashing the guy. So far the team is 3-0 with him leading the defense. What more could you ask for?

Who's bashing Goodwin? If stating the obvious equates to "bashing" Goodwin, then maybe you haven't read Dabo's comments about the defense today.

Criticism comes with the title, but some people want instant perfection. Anyone who didn't expect Wes to experience some growing pains wasn't being realistic.

I would hope nobody is bashing Wes. The defense had some holes Saturday, but we only had 2-3 days to prep for Furmnan, they had 10 days to prepare for us.

When Dabo Swinney hired Brent Venables to be DC a lot of posters here were shocked Dabo could bring in such a seasoned proven DC.
Now ten years later we have lost BV to a promotion to his own desire.
Dabo hires what is by all accounts a genius that the world does not know. 3-0
Not bad for a truly new DC-new not just to Clemson but also new to the position of DC.
He will get better at his job just like BV did before he got to Clemson.
