Place for Elliot to get his first head coaching job.

I politely disagree. Tony Elliot has been a major part of Clemson’s success. We still have a chance to win 10 games. Winning 10 games and ACC Championships are what you demanded of TB.
Dabo with Elliott’s help has not only won 10 games , multiple ACC titles and 2 more National Championships and great wins over elite programs. Tony Elliot and the rest of the coaching staff, IMO have done a great job of coaching this year. NC State , Wake Forest, and most other teams in the ACC improved their quality of play this year. I hope Tony Elliott stays at Clemson because he is a vital piece to Clemson’s success. I believe better days are ahead and Tony Elliot has so much more to contribute to the future of Clemson. He is a valuable asset to Dabo and the program.
Be careful for what you hope for sometimes it can backfire creating chaos.

Tony didn't help us win 10 games, Brent did with his defense. I think it is time for Tony to leave and Dabo bringing in someone with a new innovative offense. Tony doesn't seems like he can't adapt. We have been running the same offense for 7 or 8 years now.

Did you forget that it was our offense that was propping up the D the previous 2 seasons? TE has been carrying BV and that is fine. That is what great coaches do for each other. I mean, when was the O worse than the D since 2014.... 2014?
TE has adapted just fine, we are finally seeing our guys actually able to execute (anything). Development an readiness is the bigger issue as it should not have taken 7-8 games. That being said, we are a young group and even the 2014 class had to grow up (not just CS vs DW4).

Re: I don’t think the original post was about wanting to get rid of Tony.

I believe Tony being a strong family man and still having young kids would stay at Clemson because of the family environment Dabo has created for his staff.
Personally I don’t think Troy is the right move for Coach Elliot. I think Jeff Scott made a mistake take the job at south Florida. He could have waited for a school where he had a better chance for success.
Clemson missed the playoffs after 6 consecutive appearances and 2 National Championships, now we need coaching changes.
TE did not fumble the ball or throw an interception Saturday. He did overthrow passes. And the defense missed some key plays Saturday. It was a team Win and I thought TE and BV called a great game. We scored 48 points against a pretty good WF defense.
It seems some fans are never Satisfied. Tell me what you expect from Dabo and his Staff every year?
IMO TE has been a big part of the greatest run in Clemson football history. Every team eventually faces adversity. It’s sad that after a 10 year run of excellence, Clemson has a year full of adversity and some fans start jumping of the ship. I believe Clemson is set up for another run of elite excellence. Patience and positive support are important to achieve that next run of excellence and more National Championships.
Any time fans mention a coach with an opening after a year of adversity, I take that as a hint that it’s time for that coach to move on.

T.E. probably makes more than the entire Troy staff combined. If he wants to move, T.E. can land a Head Coaches job at a big school. I honestly think T.E. would be a great head coach.

Don’t forget that coaches who depart to become Head Coaches frequently take other coaches with them.
We were lucky that Jeff only took his dad and a few non-coaching staff members.
