Where would classify Trev at right now? He didn’t have the best year last season, even though they still had a good and quality season.
Trevor I don’t think has been able to get past the level of any type of inconsistency. What I mean is he’s not perfect all the time. No QB is, but a guy like Trevor should be perfect at least 95% of the time.
I also understand that there are many other things that affect Trevor’s play, like coaching, receiver support around Trevor, etc.
I say he’s a top-8 QB currently after last season. Lots of people had him top-5 and MVP candidate before and early last season. But he threw a lot of interceptions and had numerous pretty bad games.

Jags' GM Trent Baalke has focused draft picks on Defense - OL is one of worst in the NFL. TL16's game has suffered as a result.

I don't really have a true idea until he has a decent O and healthy WR options.

True, but my curiosity is there have been numerous QBs with understudy receivers with success.
I mean, I know Mahomes is who he is, but he really didn’t have anyone this year except for Kelce. And, Kelce definitely had his worst year in a while. Rashee Rice came on towards the end of season, but still.
I say that because Trevor’s potential and ceiling is Super Bowl level. And that he should end as one of the greats. Doesn’t always pan out like that, but not everybody is Trevor, Andrew Luck, and John Elway. Who everybody compared him to draft stock wise.

Hopefully for Trevor but CJ Stroud is the real deal.

Mahomes has the greatest offensive mind in football coaching him. Doug is no where near Andy Reids level. Their offensive playcalling was putrid last year. Bad OC/gameplan, soft OL, and no true #1 wr, and an inconsistent defense that gives up points at bad times led to alot more hero ball and Trevor needing to be perfect. Mahomes did not have to be perfect and Reid is a maestro on Off while Spags was killing teams all year with his aggressive defense.

the season. Also losing his relief valve in Christian Kirk in that last 3rd of the season didnt' help. Which is also about that time he was dealing with being banged up. He gutted it out which is admirable but he was obviously affected. I know everyone has injuries toward the end of the year but shoulders are not ideal for being accurate for QBs.

Hard to really evaluate him because he plays behind a trash O line.

Like the rest of responses here, he has not had a top 20 offense. No way to put this on Trevor alone. In addition to that, no QB has sniffed 95% of anything ever in the NFL with the best O-line, receivers, backs, etc. That's a bar that's just not realistic. He needs to work on his accuracy or either decide to throw the ball away more. His biggest issue he can control is interceptions. If they fix the line, he'll fix the rest. If he stays healthy, he'll be a HOF guy regardless of Superbowls, etc.

He had all sorts of injuries last year and lost his top receiver....I think he's entitled to have a tough season, and I hope he comes back health because we all know what he can do.

IMO I thought he was going to have a breakout season and be a dark horse for MVP and the Superbowl....
Well, in the first half of the year it was lookin' that way....and then injuries and defense down the stretch killed it.
That said, I think his best days are ahead if they get some better OL play. I don't think Mahomes or Lamar Jackson would do much better in Trev's spot with the same personnel. Heck, IDK if Brady or any other HOF QB would be killing it in JAX.
