Clemson and other big name name schools not looking good. So what's changed this year...

To me it's all this NIL crap and social media awareness. Our seniors use to always vote no on social.media during the year bc it was too much of a distraction. This year they allowed it bc they could make money off it posting stuff. Their image. With Dabo making remarks about how young and immature we are, it just seems like this could be part of the problem and for other programs as well. ?? I will say also that our problems on offense are not just directed at one player or position. Everything has to click as a unit to pull off a play effectively. What we lack is veteran leadership and confidence in knowing what we are going to go out and do every game. I saw DJ hit wrs , Shipley, and Galloway right in the hands and they all drop them wide open. Then when Taisun comes in they catch them. To me that's what's odd. Also what's odd is why out coached won't exploit the middle of the field more often. I mean 2 plays we called a route over the middle one to Shipley and the other to Ross and both were so open a Mack truck could fit in the hole. Yet we refuse to go there more often. What I'm saying is some of this isn't just on the players.... It's our Offensive playcalling too.

Parity in the the 32 team NFL is one thing. Parity across 129 CFB teams equates to a lot a bad football.

Parity ...the communism of football.
So we now tell a great football player that had planned to attend a certain school all his life that nope, you have to attend Marshall or Georgia Southern instead if you want to be a football player?
Whether people like it or not college football is still an amateur sport.

The NIL is a non factor. That's ludicrous. Bama and Georgia are doing great. The NIL? You have to be kidding.

Are we too take you post seriously? First off this is only your 1138 post in 7 years, and then your topic heading says and other big name schools...yet you either failed to mention what other big name schools you think are not looking good, or your just trying to convince us that you are just another armchair quarterback who thinks he knows what is going on in one certain locker room? Sorry ,you didn't convince me.

Hmmm? You might be on to something there. Take a team like Pitt or Wake. I would love to know how many “old seniors” they have on the roster. I don’t know the answer but I’m curious.

Pitt had 13 “Super Seniors” in their starting lineup per the broadcast Saturday.

PITT oline had 4 5th yr Sr and 1 Jr. Experience took over . They blocked well all game. The extra yr has helped some schools. It has hurt others. Go Tigers

Now the teams who are normally just happy to be top 25 also have some players form the elite teams that weren't getting enough playing time. Now those teams are better able to compete with the top teams.
