one of those any given Saturday teams. App St finished outside of the top 25 last year, but its not like they are U-Conn...they are more like the Coots without the head up their butt culture. They are one of those teams that with just a couple less mistakes and a couple of crtical calls going their way they could get the momentum to upset just about anyone. The worst thing we could do is look past them to the next "big game".

not he can compete in a transfer portal world without using the transfer portal (I hope he can, but I don't think he can).
If he can't - I think he'll choose to retire rather than change his beliefs (loyalty to players). This makes a playoff return "essential"...
It's possible that he has started telling recruits, "I might have to replace you via the transfer portal if you don't produce when given a chance" - but he currently has players that he's told, "we're only recruiting X number of players at your position, that's who you need to beat out". He's going to keep that promise to them...

Obviously an understatement - if we can't get in with 12 teams when we got in, what 6 of 9 years with FOUR teams, we better go back to the drawing board. You can lose any game any week you don't show up - just look at last year, we literally handed the game to Duke, we missed the likely winning kick against FSU and their is no real explanation why we dropped the other two other than our own incompetency. We need players who will FINISH plays and games and I don't care where they come from.

Not much to say...since the transfer portal the record is 30-10 and an average ranking in the top 15 - 20 range. Now the other side that must be mentioned is Clemson is # 1 with graduation its players. That is winning in the game of life!!!
ENOUGH SAID. Now back to the performance on the field......107 days until UGA, the Dome, at high noon...No More Talking....ENOUGH SAID!!

This is my arrogantly humble opinion. Anyone that is making hay about the entire season is going to have alot of wet and moldy hay. THE only thing that matters right now is summer practices. Next after that is prepping to beat Georgia. I don't think anything else matters until about 5:00pm on August 31.
Then it should be how to beat Appalachian State. Looking down the road does not benefit anyone. Coach has put his pieces in place staffwise for the 2024 run and they know who all their players are so all the strategy for getting to the playoff's is set. Now it is execute one practice at a time, one game at a time. The season will be what the season will be.
We fans have no control of anything, but as we all know, coaching from TNeT is alot of fun. My TNet coaching strategy is one I learned from Bill Belichick. Never look beyond next game. Never even talk beyond the next game. Surely every team has to have reconnisance on every team being played all season, but there can only be one focus and that is the next game...someone other than me can fill that jelly roll future.
