Squirrel in attic update

Wife called some place to come out and take a look. They came out to give an estimate and i was quick and keen to see the entry points they found. Sunzuvabeotches are getting in by pushint up the soffit vents in 2 or 3 places where it's not secure.
Yeah, ok. They said the guy said they'd put a guard over the loose soffits to secure them, and also trap the momma squirrel as she's likely starting a nest.
Ok, so I'm thinking maybe $300 to $400 or something. Guy noticed a flap not working on a bathroom vent on the side of the house, but said that there's no way the attic squirrel could have gotten in because that vent goes to the bathroom and is between the 1st and 2nd floor hoists, so there's no access to the attic.
So the estimate comes in today.
redo 60 feet of the ridge vents on the roof, 3 new bathrom exhaust vents on the side of the house, some environmental cleanup and fogging of the attic, and removal of fecal material and debris (there is none), trapping the #####, sealing all holes in the attic including, seakling the gable vents, although he said they weren't getting in that way either. Total is, get this.....$3,220.00
I mean if you don't want to work, fine, close up your shop, but don't give me some "I don't want to work" estimate, with all this BS added that I was told wasn't a problem.
Dude was kind enough to show me the entry points. I'll seal them myself for $50 and some wasted time, and be done with it. I can literally just put a brick on top of the thing and they can't get in. or something heavy.

If you're going to use foam, stuff it brillo pads or something metal.

When they come back and start eating through the foam, they'll be impeded by the metal.

This is what I've been dealing with for 2 years now. You either have

1. a contractor who is good at what they do, they know that, so they charge an arm and a leg.
2. a contractor who is really busy and sees the amount of work it will take and they give you the "I don't want to do it" price
3. Cheap, can start immediately. These can go either way. Either they are good and just starting out or they are terrible.

That’s like the guy that wanted 10 grand to redo my shrubs, trim a few branches, and mulch before I sold the house. I got someone else to do it for 1k and I planted the new plants myself.
And guy called me a Jew bc I said I wouldn’t pay 10k.

my father had squirrels in the attic years ago. He got a cheap spinning light, like an old police light, that was battery powered. Placed it up there, squirrels left.

Uses pennies of electricity, will annoy the crap out of them. BUT, only concern is the roof gables and vents may look like a disco at night in the attic.
