The next two weeks are gonna be especially bad weeks to be

Nov 13, 2022, 6:07 PM

a Coot. Here's why.

This week, they play Tennessee. If any team in the whole country is looking for "style" points for their CFP chances the next two weeks, it is Tennessee. So, I think, as much as it may displease Huepel to run up the score, I don't think he calls off the dogs unless the Vols hit the 70 mark.

There is also this angle, which plays into why NEXT week will be a bad week to be a Coot. Tennessee and Clemson will be playing a common opponent in back to back weeks. This will be a great gauge for the CFP Committee, should enough chaos ensue to get us really back in the conversation.

So, add the regular rivalry game aspect of things, Clemson will also be playing not only for a win, but also style points, if the offense can wake up. Matching Tennessee's offensive output against South Carolina would be a feather in the Clemson cap when it came to comparisons by said Committee.

Butt, as Dabo reminds us, we play MIAMI this week. And, all those dreams stated above go right out the window if we somehow lay another egg in that game. BEAT THE CANES!

Thanks, but role playing and/or fantasizing about being...

a coot, would not make my top 40, and that's being kind.

What happened to you while I was away?

Miami is the ultimate trap game. As a fan, I couldn’t care

Nov 13, 2022, 6:13 PM

less about them. All I can think about is beating the coots 63-0.

There's something in these hills.

And not sure this offense is capable of running up a score.***

Tennessee plays the coots in Cootlumbia while we play them in Death Valley. Tennessee will scorch the earth of Williams Brice with at least a 50 burger. We will endeavor to persevere for a two score win with a total under 35 points.

This will be Tennessee’s fourth road game.

First … won the tie at Pittsburgh ( a medium team)
Second … played great and annihilated LSU (whose top ten ranking is too high)
Third … lost to a really good Georgia squad … really good

So there it is … a 1-1-1 road record. Which Tennessee team will tee it up in Columbia? I won’t be shocked if the Gamecocks get more points.
