The Clemson way or the Dabo way

Jan 1, 2023, 9:35 AM

It seems to me it’s more about Dabo doing things his way is more important than what’s best for Clemson I feel for our players that sacrifice so much to win each and every day. The facilities are among the best another top 10 class of talent. Now the same can’t be said about coaching serious upgrades are needed. I hope Dabo take a step back and truly with an open mind evaluate and address and improve the product that fun’s down that hill

Dabo thinks they are the same thing, which is probably fine, look at where it got him and the program. But at some point you have to adapt or get left behind. The positional coaching seems to be the main issue. Hate to call for people losing jobs, but the results speak for themselves, some people have to go

People and their “Jobs” must be separate. DJ was a prime example of this, outstanding character, loyal, hard working, etc.
Horrible QB. This isn’t little league, heck we’ve come to pride ourselves on best is the standard and that includes coaches salaries. This is a business and no one gets big money to lose. Dabo believes in Character first and talent/wins will follow but this just isn’t so. I’m afraid we will have to wait on this to completely implode before taking action and that my fellow tigers is what destroys FB programs for years.

We ranked better stat wise on offense in 2022 than we did in 2021 and that’s with a sub par QB that was not physically capable of running this offense. Both worked under their predecessors as well.

I’m just not understanding the blasting or need to let go of coordinators after 1 year. This team did not have the talent to make it to the playoffs regardless of who would have coached. Recruiting is way above the avg nationally but not top 4 worthy. Recruitment needs to pick up drastically to get where we want to be. Easy to coach up 5 stars with a great attitude and work ethic, but we currently do not have enough on the team.
Focus imo needs to be on improving recruiting and work on getting stronger and faster in the weight rooms. At this point we have what we have.

McFadden on the OL is the only guy on offense that imo is NFL worthy at this point and he got absolutely destroyed Friday.
We are hurting with the Joe’s at this point.
I can see Streeter getting better at calling a game but Dabo needs to get him visiting some offensive gurus to pick their brains on some new wrinkles. Again that’s my opinion.
Mafah looks to be the better RB but barely touched the football in the 2nd half. That is on the coaches, but I do not know what they know and never will. There maybe reasons which the avg fan will never know.

You people are crazy as he**...prior to Dabo the Clemson way was losing...get that `losers` we didn't win squat...if you want that again have at it... I will take Dabo...he will be almost impossible to replace with a quality coach...every one of them knows they can't do what he has done...after the first year every `baby` in football kindergarten will be balling..be careful what you ask for cause when you get it you ain't gonna like it!

Maybe you did not read the entirety of my post but I believe you and I are on the same page yet I feel you were responding to me. Yes getting rid of Dabo would be the dumbest thing our AD could even think about doing, but some fans seem hell bent on getting him run off.

It’s not going back to the days of an average team it’s not letting pride get in the way of improvement. I am not talking coordinators only position coaches look to be lacking

Year 1… if Dabo thinks he needs a change at OC I believe he would be the first person to make that move. Dabo is competitive and from what I have read hates to lose at anything. He may have made the right decisions in his mind but accepted the fact that there would be a learning curve. Problem is not many understand that philosophy and wants results yesterday. That I do understand. Fans are not interested in a rebuild of the coaching staff. I get it.
