The basic premise is that drugs are dangerous until proven otherwise and supplements are safe until proven otherwise. In theory you could have the same product be a safe supplement and an unsafe drug at the same time.

My friend the surgeon told me as much. This article, however, is interesting because it notes the contamination issue and dishonesty in labeling. Certainly easy to see how someone could have it in their system and not know it.
