Stadium sound system

I like the new video boards, but would it be wrong to ask if an accompanying stellar sound system is yet to be installed? The pre-recorded content couldn't even play without skips, the volume was almost painful (seated upper deck far end of north stands), and, worst of all, Tiger Band piped through the sound system was certainly louder but sounded like an old 78, no treble and bass.
Dreadful stuff. Too, the GT pep band kicked our band's rear ends for enthusiasm and effort, and I'm not a band geek - I'm there for the game.

As high quality as they made them out to be, maybe they haven't tweaked it right yet! We just need to get loud as fans and we won't need the sound system!

but....
I don't like our band playing through the sound system....
I don't like it that pre-game...it is almost too loud.....
it sounded good the first couple of games...this past saturday was embarassing...for a new system

Just a few comments on the new sound system. I've only been to two games this year, Furman and Ga Tech. Both times I sat in the West end zone, once in the lower section behind the Furman band, and the other in the West Zone club level. The sound system was not good. In the outdoor seats of the West Zone, there are additional speakers that evidently pipe the same audio as the PA. However, since they are about 200 yards from the main PA speakers, there is a horrible delay. This is worse when the band is playing. It sounds like a amateur DJ playing two records at the same time (out of sync). The feed to these speakers need to be on a 1/2 second delay or something.
I agree with the volume level and the equalizer being off. Can't believe that a sound engineer signed off on that.

The intro sounded like crap and all the Tech geeks were laughing. Guess they knew how to fix it.

Im all for the volume if they can fix other problems. Liked the "real" Metallica playing and not that whimpy Sandman crap.
