That’s kind of a compliment, we finished ranked 15th and they ranked as pre-season 11, with a very shaky quarterback room, and needing help at WR. We are going to have to get much better quarterback play to get back into the top five
NC State at number eight, now that is an absolute joke.

Ha ha. We were posting essentially the same thing at the same time. I agree, 11 is probably generous.

I expect great things from our D, but until we prove we can throw the ball, I don't think we warrent a ranking much higher than 11.
Putting State at 8 seems like a stretch. They will find a way to disappoint.

No doubt, plus that means the pack will have to come to death Valley and win, which they’re not going to do. Probably another eight and four season for NC State, and if Clemson can get their act together at quarterback we could probably win 10-11 games

to be fair NC State should probably be picked to win the ACC next year. They return everybody and we have some questions at QB etc... I agree though I am looking forward to what our D does next year, that is going to be a scary unit to go against.

Leave the woofies at 8. Hope they are still there or higher when they come to Death Valley. I am sure every Tiger will oblige to sending them home very very very disappointed.

We seem to do our best work as underdogs. This team is up for the challenge.

We essentially lost a large chunk of our coaching staff and dont have solid footing on what our QB situation is going to look like.
11th is more than fair.
But I guess thinking the media is against you and crying about it is the Clemson way these days.

Ryan Day slipped them each a Benjamin lol
Anyone who looks at this ranking fairly for Clemson but doesn’t mention how ludicrous NC St @ #8 is might be smoking better sheet than me. We’ll beat them pretty good this year, it’s going to be a whole new ballgame.

We will throw the ball better without a doubt in my mind. One of two things will happen in 2022. DJ will make drastic improvements and is able to fend off Cade K. If that happens that means DJ will be slinging the ball well next season. 2. DJ makes no improvements and Cade takes his spot. I have no doubt that Cade can throw the ball accurately. So either way we will be back to slinging the ball again mixed with a strong run game.

I have no problem with a ranking of 11. Our issue is not QB, it is Offensive line and Wide Receiver until proven differently. If the line is better, our running should be awesome and that will be our strength.

We have probably the worst returning QB in college football and only a true freshman nobody, at this point, knows can even contribute next season. I'd say 11 is super generous.

I’ll try to be nice about this……..whoever wrote this article is an idiot and should be fired.
The article says it’s looking at each team’s greatest returning strength, then says for Clemson it’s our RB’s. I like our RB’s as much as anyone…..except for the idiot that wrote this article. However…….since our D was #8 in total defense and #2 in scoring defense and we’re losing Foster & Jeffries up front. I say Clemson’s greatest returning strength is DEFENSE…..and it ain’t a close call.

I think I saw that the ACC contributor was Andrea Adelson. I dont think she is an idiot she covers a lot of football. There is nothing here to get worked up about, it will all be settled on the field next season.
