This is almost like a reverse signing day.

However, most of the guys leaving Clemson are depth chart guys. Hopefully, some new talent will come our way, too.

It's going to be interesting how this plays out over time. Some kids might enter the portal but not get the offers they like... do they/can they come back? Are there enough spots for all these kids to find a landing place?
From what I've heard, if a kid transfers then you've got to keep him the rest of his time... I wonder if that impacts things in the future (taking more Juniors and Seniors vs. Freshmen and Sophomores).
There may be a lot of hard lessons to learn over the next few years.

why does it matter if they're depth chart guys??

UPGRADING TALENT REGARDLESS of depth chart is the name of the game...................our WRs are NOT good............go out and get better.........same argument could be made for other positions, but WR is the most GLARING weakness.
Aside from Antonio Williams EVERY WR's job should be in limbo right now.

Hello did you watch the ACC Championship game the WRs have not been the problem. The sole issue has been the QB. If Cade has not been practicing with the ones I can almost guarantee these WRs in practice have not been seeing balls thrown in proper timing proper location etc. If DJ is what these guys practice with every week and all they practice with, is it not understandable why they are inconsistent. Inconsistency from the QB breeds inconsistency at the WR position.

yes......ONE PROBLEM was "fixed" Saturday night...........QB..........what took so long is beyond everybody on this board.
but don't let a good performance against one of the WORST 10 pass defenses in the country make you believe that ALL OUR PROBLEMS have disappeared.
Wide Receiver talent is one of our BIGGEST problems right now...........if you think that spector, turner, hampton greene, the next swinney are the ELITE WRs that will return Clemson to "ELITE" then you're fooling yourself.
there is promise with A. Williams........and Randall needs to be seen more, but we're a far cry from our 2015-2019 WR talent............that position needs to be upgraded.

Have been a vicious cycle that is not entirely on the WRs. You could CLEARLY see DJU's utter ineptitude in the first two drives on Saturday night. I really feel bad for the receivers who have been going out there running routes knowing that their QB probably isn't going to get the ball to them with any accuracy, and even if they work themselves open it's likely he's staring down another guy.
And you could CLEARLY see the instant change once Cade Klubnik took over as our QB. The passes were out faster, the guys had a better window to catch the ball, the passes were more accurate, and the WRs performed better. NOW we can start recruiting blue chip WRs again because we finally have a QB who they KNOW can get them the ball.
Oh, if we had just started this process with CK sooner!! Who knows how much better this season could have turned out and how much better our recruiting would have been going forward. We have some lost ground to make up.
