Regarding the Fridge story from the main page.

1) How is it not about the money? The family keeps saying that they want MDP's legal guardianship revoked "so Fridge can get better". I'm missing the part where MPD, from 3 hours away in Charlotte, is using his guardian powers to keep Fridge overweight and drunk? Is this like a witch's curse, where once the guardianship is revoked, he magically loses 200 pounds and sobers up?
2) Sadly, this doesn't surprise me. Back when the Fridge was at CU, I rode with my grandfather and his neighbor (a huuuuuge booster, now deceased) to take Fridge to Red Lobster in Anderson. Picked him up at Mauldin hall, and went to dinner, where he easily downed about 15+ strawberry daquiris. Homie likes to drink.

I didn't know him very well at Clemson, but I knew him.

He came into the Bookstore when I was bartending there once a week. He would order a beer, we'd make small talk, and he'd pay for his one draft beer with a crisp new $100 bill, get the change, not leave a tip, and out the door he went until the following week. In spite of the fact you could never get any of his DNA off my tip jar, I still liked him. He was a jovial, likable personality.
