Realistic Take on Georgia Opener!!

Of course I want us to put 50 points on $EC and put on worst dog beating since Micheal Vick. But, lets discuss a more realistic outcome. Most of our fans think this game is in the bag for good reasons, that LSU game made alot of believers and I don't blame any of them.
Last year I felt same with Scar game, it was home game, it was as big as it could get for us, we win that game it would take us to Sugar Bowl, we had 3 game losing streak to them Scums of Cootlumbia and we were playing infront of a home crowd in death valley at night, they were without their Ace running back in M. Latt and their 2 in 1 QB system which hardly ever works, i was as sure as anyone that we would beat them yet we didn't.
Georgia is better than that SCAR team believe it or not, Aaron Murray is better than the two clowns Spur calls QBs. Our defense with very suspect secondary with injuries & youth dosen't really sit well. I think they'll start off slowly but by 2nd half Georgia will start to score points. They have excellent running backs and they can keep our very potent offense off the field (best way to beat us is let our offense watch from the sidelines).
To me, this game will be close and Georgia will make it closer in 2nd half. I am totally and utterly hopeful for us to win this game but I won't be totally shocked if they beat us.
I am also worried about the run game, most people think Ellington is easy to replace with a deep stable of back like we have, but Ellington was a sure thing, you give him ball and he gets yards and he had safest of hands. Hot Rod is good but lets not kid ourselves, he is not as good as Ellington. I have more hopes with Brooks and Dye (if he could avoid redshirt).
My final prediction: Clemson 34 Georgia 30 Final

Nobody knows who will win this game. There are just too many unknowns and variables, on top of this being opening day, between two similarly ranked teams.
Both UGA and Clemson fans want to say they'll win, but who really knows? Nobody. I think if Georgia is able to run on Clemson and chew up the clock, then this would favor the Dawgs. If instead Clemson is able to stuff the run, then I think that the Tigers, combined with a homefield advantage, will likely win.
On top of all of this, no matter who is able to do what, you have to remember that this is opening day, and the kinks will not have been fully worked out of either team. It wouldn't surprise me to see one team or the other have 200 more yards than the other, yet lose the game because of costly turnovers. That sort of thing does indeed happen on opening day, and especially when both teams will likely try to air it out more than normal.
We're all predicting big scores such as 38-35, or even more, right? But what if it ends up being a pedestrian 23-20 type of game, mainly because of interceptions, fumbles, and penalties?

Both teams capable of big comebacks against suspect defenses. Tigers will need to play all sixty minutes. Special teams killed our momentum against FSU.

Better than sc. Did you not watch that whipping they put on ga last year. Beating ga will be easier than beating sc. We don't have to like it, but its true. Now lets go beat em all.

This is about Clemson!

It isn't even about uGAY or USuCk. Matter of fact USuCk won't be on our field next weekend.
This is all about Clemson's 100% installed Chad Morris offense and Venables' defense. This is about Dabo-recruited, matured and developed players. This is about 90K rabid Tiger Fans.

At the risk of insulting Ellington I'll point out two things

HotRod is ahead of Ellington at this same point in AE's career. HotRod hits a hole like he's shot out of a cannon. AE's Jr year he had trouble catching the ball. HotRod had no trouble catching a ball last season.
There's practically no dropoff from AE to HotRod and HR will put up better numbers if he stays healthy.

Agreed!! For any Hot Rod doubters out there, we are just fine at RB!
His abilities are going to give Tajh plenty of options.
Go Tigers!!!!

You've seen it. HR goes blasting through a hole so fast the LBs look like wax dummys.

When both teams have the ability to score I think one team gets a break a pulls ahead aka wvu in orange bowl. It will come down to coaching, lucky breaks, officials (in that order). Opportunities for UGA, running on left tackle and picking apart our secondary. Our opportunities are just doing what we do on offence and hope our defense plays huge. I hope it's a warm dry night.

You'd better hope WE put 50 points on UGA - otherwise we might lose big. I expect UGA to put 35+ on us - unless our D has improved a ton.
And don't use the LSU game as a barometer. You should use the USUC game - that we lost. Believe me - I expect the UGA O to carve up our D up most of the day. It might be a bloodletting. Of course, I expect our O to do the same to their D. One of the D's must step up to win. Personally, I think our D is going to be better, but we won't know until late Aug 31st.
