Strategy for a Clemson basketball win on Saturday vs. Duke

1. Change defenses several times through out the game
2. Be willing to apply some half and back court trapping pressure to keep Duke off balance
3. Deny the ball to the offside guard or forward who doesn’t have the ball
3. Limit turnovers
4. Make sure we balance three point shooting with going inside to our bigs
5. Get after the rebounds on our missed three point shots
6. Be in the official’s ear from the opening whistle

Have Duke shoot really poorly like in the games they have lost this year.

They are getting wide open shots and missing them from all over the court. That really helps build up losses.

Poor shooting generally has something to do with good defense and the other team being out of their comfort zone. Teams generally hate to have done to them what they try to do. Duke has been masters of denying the basketball over the years. It upsets the rhythm of any offense.
