is the fact that these recent changes and shake ups are not an end, but only a beginning. We are just laying the foundation for more radical changes and consolidation that will lead us to Dabo's prediction of a finite number of teams in some sort of super-conference setup and an expanded playoff system, all funded by private enterprise, media, PE firms, and for-profit institutions with corporate sponsorships, etc.

All of this is just the initial thrust of the big money professionalization of college athletics.

College football is being trashed. It will be a complete replication of the NFL within 2-3 years, and I believe that the networks are going to lose a lot more long-time viewers than they will have bargained for.

Ugggg, I know so many people who don’t watch nfl anymore. I don’t buy the ratings for a second.

Last year was a great year for football and the moaning and groaning about NIL had no effect. This will be another great year, just wait and see.
