My comment was about the current Administration's idiotic open border policy.
I appreciate your post, but if you really want people to be safe then you have to move past word games. I was talking about being smart (vs. making yourself an easy target).

They are stupid though, just in addition to some of the other things you mentioned. But, I take your point open borders is a strategy and not an accident.
Think of the political idiots you've seen on your TV, Phone, etc... promoting open borders or doing nothing about it. Start at at the top and work your way down. Theses are not smart people.

I personally believe in locking our borders down and not allowing anyone through for about the next 10-15 years. Pretty soon there won't be any farmland left bc it will be covered with concrete and asphalt, and crops don't do well on either, and livestock don't either....

Not only the southern border, heard a report several months ago that activity has increased at the Canadian border. If just one percent of the 7.5 mil are bad actors, that's 75k who can create much havoc. IMO the percentage is much higher.

Statistics from an online Oct Newsweek article reported more than 95k southern border encounters of Chinese nationals in the last 2 yr 11 month period. Almost doubled in the last 11 month period from previous 12 months. Other reports indicate most are unaccompanied males.

It is not just us here in the USA. Virtually every country in EU has been overrun by immigrants and are beginning to pay the price for their good intentions. Only Poland has stood firm and shut its borders so far. It is a global plan of redistribution by the radical left and is well under way.

I hate thinking about it, but I can help but to think that our prior president has sold some of our most kept secretes that should have never been in his hands even when he was president. I hear what you are saying. And appreciate it. Unfortunately, despite the intention, this is inherently political. Vigilant against who? Vigilant against what? Should I be vigilant against people who look or sound Middle Eastern? Or perhaps I should be vigilant against the kind of angry white American who leaped out of his car a few months ago to physically attack mine because I honked my horn when he pulled out in front of me in traffic (and I live in a “safe” small town in Idaho). One of those threats is far away and very unlikely. The other also tried to run me and my family off the road.
There is a whole lot of politics in vigilance. And a lot of troubling history too. I honestly think that listening and thoughtfully talking with each other is a better option than vigilance. So, if we see someone who we think we should be vigilant against, perhaps we should have a conversation instead? Ask, don’t assume.

Vigilance does not mean vigilante. My only intention was to be aware of your surroundings and pay attention. Not targeting anyone by their skin tone or beliefs. I see that you can feel that way, but that was not my intention or my purpose.
On a day when someone is calling people to use violence, I was asking people to keep aware
