Money matters most in recruiting nowadays

For your statement to be correct, we must have top 10 money

since we consistently have top 10 recruiting classes.

Clemson’s last top 10 class was 3 years ago, everything since then has been around the 15 range

Competing for elite talent I would say very. Those guys want to play for contenders. Then again most of those guys are out for the highest bidder too. Either way, we aren’t in either of those pictures.

Weve had multiple guys with significant national NIL deals.

We aren’t struggling because of NIL. We are struggling because our coaches don’t know how to develop players well.

The talent is there. We have top 5-10 talent according to many analysts.

Recruiting the Dabo way?

Hurts bad.

Recruiting the NIL way?

Moot point.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

It should help it. Kids see opportunity to play

Oct 22, 2023, 8:51 AM

early. We just can’t seem to close the deal the last couple of years. Money and Raptors probably play a part too.

It won't hurt our portal recruiting at all. Hard to get any worse than last in the NCAA.

We have to be concerned. This situation is looking less like a reload and more like a rebuild. Recruits don't want to go somewhere and wait around for things to get better when they have more desirable options.

Only continues to unravel with the difference in ACC money vs. the SEC and B1G!

It should help. Players see that they can come in and
