I know. Just curious about the hypothetical and if that would play in to Dabo’s decision making. If you could land a game changer you really want, but risk the loss of two solid players, do you take it?

In one of the TNET articles Dabo pretty much said OL is the only position they are looking for help from portal players. If somebody else leaves, that may change but not as of today based on that article.

I get that and don’t disagree. It was more of a hypothetical conversation question about making that decision. Do you risk you solid starters to get a potential home run threat game changer?

Honestly, if they have their eyes set on the NFL, they better get used to competition being brought in daily. The RB position sees season ending injury more often that any other. NFL teams try to make sure they have multiple in-house options there. If you don't like it and can't succeed at the college level with it, you might as well by some crayons and figure out something else.

film somewhere of games I didn't see, he is only a pale shadow of Travis. Would he really be that much of an upgrade over what we have?
Butt, the reason I say it is irrelevant is, if, as has been mentioned by peoples on here who are supposedly tuned into the inner workings of things, we are struggling to come up with enough NIL $$$ to keep the guys we ALREADY have happy enough to stay here, we certainly ain't getting into a bidding war with the SEC over one of their own.
That is where Clemson is, and will be at a disadvantage, lack of enough living Alumni with deep pockets to compete in that arena. Just a truly unfortunate truth, if this is the college football world we will be continued to be forced to compete against. Money talks to some, always has, and always will.

It's pretty clear not only does he want to start, but play for championships. We can satisfy the championships part but no doubt he'd be sharing the backfield. I'd say the odds of him committing are less than 10%.
