Deshaun Watson thought.

I know ( to my knowledge ) Deshaun isn’t the type of individual to do this but, would you agree with him if he did what Johnny Depp did here and flip the victim role to himself here?
I wouldn’t necessarily blame him if he did because if he got a contract worth 230 mil, just think of all real time in game experience he lost during his absence.
Football is a complex sport. That’s why only so many can master the timing perfectly and so many become professionals. . Ex: Tom Brady, among others. Football is a game of timing, practice, strength and conditioning to maintain stamina and perfecting the art of balance. In short he is probably going to be slow and Rusty risking injury.
I wouldn’t blame him if he did, especially if he was acquitted of all charges, had to shell out millions to his perpetrators making name defaming claims. He could have been paid more by NFL franchise if he had been able to be traded on outstanding terms. Maybe even Tiger Woods type status.

Apparently, he's not the type individual I thought he was either (for a different reason than you are discussing). Nothing criminal so far, but if accusers keep coming forward, does that change? I mean, they can always seat another Grand Jury based on new testimony, right? And then there's the NFL likely discipline. Roethlisberger got a 6 game suspension with no Grand Jury indictment. Goodell was the commissioner then as well.

Yes, I've seen that in a few places (not message boards, either).

DW was already 'benched' a year from the sport. A full season. And then no criminal charges from all of those Busbee suits to follow. IMO he has served his time lacking any type of criminal indictment going forward.

It wouldn’t surprise me that the McNair family has something to do with it based on Deshaun wanting to leave. Think about it, all this started to come out when he wasn’t happy and wanted a trade. I think they have ties to the scumbag lawyer representing those women and the scumbag lawyer was probably a Texans fan also who had a luxury box and didn’t want him to leave because he was their only hope. It was starting to make the McNair family look bad because they wouldn’t trade or release him, so why not make life miserable for him for wanting to be traded. Daddy McNair being a USuC of Cootville grad too ? Just my thoughts.

Then why didn’t they all come forward to begin with ? Two to begin with, then another comes onboard and then withdraws, months later more, and then when he has his second presser about it a few days ago 2 more come forward. Just to fishy!!

Do you honestly think 24+ women could be sexually assaulted by one man and not ONE had the smarts to save dna evidence, go to a hospital or police? Men coercing woman into sex or trying to coerce a woman into sex has been going on since the beginning of time, but never has it been a crime until now. Oh and women do it too!! Now does DW have a sex problem and need some counseling? Maybe, but that is not a crime nor anyone's business as I see it, so the only question is has he committed any sexual or other crimes against these women? No evidence of that has been shown, so I think he deserves his life back, otherwise bring on the evidence and stop the ########! I am a father of a 21 year old female sexual assault victim, and she was a real victim of a real crime at the age of 19. It pisses me off that women like this make it worse on the real victims of sexual assault and make it even harder for them to come forward. I will not get into the bad details, but dna evidence was critical in my daughters case. The aggressor knew this in advance and had a system in place to try and destroy any dna connecting him to the crime as he had done twice before to other victims. My point is, EVERYONE knows how important dna is in any case but especially sexual assault cases. Not one of these women had the smarts to save a towel or anything with his "special" dna on it!? And not one went to a hospital or even made a #### phone call. Not one! THAT is why I am so skeptical about all of the allegations, and am also skeptical about the Texans being behind some of this mess. All these women with no evidence does not make sense.

I am a rabid Clemson fan. I am/ used to be, a decent looking guy. I dated some cute looking girls. Cut to the chase, if you want to have sex, it’s there. So I am now Deshawn Watson. Multimillionaire! Why do you insist on rubdowns daily, and insist on a smaller towel? If you want sex, it’s at the snap of your finger. Not judging either way, but, think about it. This has bothered me for a long time.

I have had the same thoughts my friend. Money will buy almost anything including a “romp in the hay” and there are plenty of takers, I assure you. If you look at the websites—- ads for these ladies it is apparent what they are. Certainly he has learned from this experience but it is a costly learning course and will follow him forever in some ways. Very UnClemson like to be duped by these ladies of the evening. It will pass in time and fortunately DW is a young guy.

Kudos to the ambulance chaser working with the plaintiffs -- he has recruited all these gold-seeking plaintiffs and made Watson and his so-called legal team and advisors look like dog feces.

Look, the man and player we idolized here at Clemson is not the man and player Deshaun is today. None of us can say we can put ourselves in his shoes because we do not make millions a year in salary and endorsements (former endorsements). He is a person very much in need of help and a 100% restart if that is even possible. I hope it is not too late for #4 but sadly, it may be.

There’s a really good chance he never even knew those women were doing that to him. Most fall asleep during a massage, if he is a sound sleeper, his even realizing he was being fondled may have been too frightening and or embarrassing to wake up from and or speak about

I think DW4 will get an unprecedented suspension.
Jun 16, 2022, 8:41 AM
|
|
I don't have any insight on what happened, so I can't comment of what is a deserving punishment (or if any punishment is warranted).
But ownership within the NFL wasn't happy at the deal the Browns gave DW4. The guaranteed money that was offered will probably be the target of every player moving forward. If the NFL can justify a lengthy suspension for DW4, it'll give reason/example as to why guaranteed money is a bad idea and squash talks of similar contracts moving forward.
Just my thoughts.
