Hate to see Beaux go in the portal, he'll always be a tiger and did a lot of good for us. But I have to point out the past WRs who have hit the portal. Frank Ladson is back in the portal after doing nothing at Miami, Dacari Collins did not contribute much at State, EJ Williams has not done much at Indiana, and Ajou Ajou no longer plays football. Goes to show, sometimes running isn't always the best option. I do believe Beaux has graduated which is great and that should be the requirement before guys leave.

up scholarships or move on and look for PT elsewhere? Seems in everyone's best interest for alot of these guys to leave.

That's a good point, Beaux is the first real starter to leave, just making us depend on young guys more and hurting depth.

a developmental issue that at least one or two of these guys would blossom elsewhere with new coaching, but that just hasn't happened. I think the reality is that we've just signed alot of highly rated WRs recently that can't play at this level.

Wasn't he a Jeff Scott recruit right before he left for USF? Maybe we had a harder time recruiting WRs then because other schools were telling recruits Scott would be leaving soon for a head coaching gig 🤷‍♂️

Collins is the first starter to hit the portal I believe. He will produce at another school. Probably won’t be WR1, but he will start. He’s a great kid, wish him the best.
