Played pick up in Littlejon one time vs Ed Scott. Awesome dude and even better athlete.

That’s tough. We had so many great ones between the Ellis and Barnes years.
I know it’s technically 2, but can I go with the twin towers?

Stilll feel the 92-93 was Ellis’ most talented. ACC was stacked that year, but we should have done better with Whitney, Wright & Gray. Chis was $$$.

KJ’s perfect timing and unbelievable hops made him really fun to watch. He was a 6’7” guy who played like a serious big. He could sky and block the shots of much taller opponents. Had KJ not left early, it is entirely possible we would not have endured our gut-wrenching tournament absence.

have been a great pro, but drugs did him in. He was GREAT that one year at Clemson as part of Tate's Lockes illegally induced wave of blue chip recruits.
I still wonder if we might have gotten away with it if Tree Rollins had not parked that brand new, bright ORANGE Monte Carlo right out in front of the dining hall for everybody to see.

I have only seen him on film, but I have been told many times that he was the best hoopster we ever had. I did hear that he defeated his drug demons and wound up involved in youth basketball in Baltimore. Hope so.

Stan Rome. Averaged over 10 ppg all 4 years. Also played football and went on the play in NFL with the Chiefs. Played when teams played man to man defense and the half court jump trap was just becoming popular. He was awesome at it. We played the same defense in HS at that time and he was the guy I tried to pattern my game after. Met him at a Citadel basketball camp along with Tree Rollins - maybe 1977 or 78.

Jim Sutherland. Avg 16.3 ppg soph 64-65, 16.5 jr. 65-66, 18.8 sr. 66-67. Saw several of his games in Fike.
On another note Alan Goldfarb joined the 66-67 varsity as a Parade AA avg .3 pts ppg. As a jr avg .4 pts. Was his last year. Remembered the name but not about his Parade AA award.
Butch Zatezalo averaged more than 20 ppg every year of his career. The teams never won more than seven games.

Wayne “ Tree” Rollins Met him years ago when my dad was meeting Coach Howard in our hotel where we were staying as we walked to lunch Coach Howard asked him to palm the ceiling in which he did as a 12 years old kid at the time I thought it was amazing to see that. RIP Frank Howard and WC Dozier class of 1933 captain.
