This is a blessing. The Cardinals have always been a dysfunctional franchise. I hope Simmons has a great year and leaves this goofy franchise behind.

They did a poll last year among active players to give grades on all the franchises. The Cardinals were ranked next to last. Some of these organizations are run like a mini-mart because the billionaire owner sees their team more as a hobby than a business (thanks for collective bargaining, they all make money either way). The Cardinals fit that bill so I wouldn't want any Tigers to play for them.

Meh.. not awful, but he’s a tweener. Some would say under utilized but he doesn’t have a true every down position. The NFL is a different deal. Glad he got paid up front and wish him the best.

He hasn't had a pro bowl type year. He's still in a sort of hybrid position. Hes been told to follow the ball. In college, he could make up ground quickly to cover. Doesnt work so well in the NFL. Since hes high paid, and their defense isnt good, hes getting cut if he doesnt have super star performance. They need to cut the hybrid nonsense, make him ilb or s.s. Let him be great at one position

Teams can only afford rookie contracts and $260mil

QB contracts with a few other stars sprinkled around. The middle class of the NFL will disappear. Hopefully Simmons can have a big year and be one of those other stars somewhere.

I hope he has a tremendous year and can get with another team. As far as the other poster comment about the Panthers. I have lost a lot of respect for them as again they did not draft a Clemson player and the only NFL team to do that.

I really wanted the Panthers to get Trenton Simpson, and figured when they traded up in the 3rd round, that's who they were going after. Of course not. I guess they'll never pick a Clemson player. Still can't believe Simpson fell to the back half of the 3rd round. I expect him to do well alongside Patrick Queen (if they don't trade him) and Roquan Smith in Baltimore.

Wouldn't mind seeing Tampa trade Devin White for him. He's a Swiss army knife, one thing Todd Bowles does well is use his personnel creatively to create disruption.

Not surprised, Derrick Brown is the only defensive 1st round player picked up for 5th yr

Even Chase Young isn't picked up for his 5th yr. Hopefully Simmons gets on with one of the teams that actually will play for a SB
