I disagree. I don’t see him making much of an impact at DT. I foresee him starting at DE then move to DT in 2024.

Wow a TD? I’ll be back after the season and when he plays the majority of the season at DE.

I agree, I see more of XT in him than a DT. He's def more fit at the DE position. But he's also the type of player you can just line up anywhere on the line and be effective. But I'd much rather him being on that edge.

Peter Woods looks like the type of DE that Christian Wilkins was for his single season at DE for us.
Not an edge rusher, per se, but rather a superb set-the-edge guy who could shed the blocker at the right instance and in the right direction to make the TFL or sack.
P.Woods playing experience for playing DE in 2023 will also train him to play DE in 3-man fronts, much as how we used B.Bresee at DE in 3-man fronts in many cases in 2022.

Agreed that P.Woods is likely to play DE this season.
We are stacked with high end depth at DT this season. Not so at DE. The best use for P.Woods on the 2023 team is at DE.
Much like Christian Wilkins (after his 2015 freshman season at DT) was moved to DE for a season … as a starter due to depth issues at DE … and performed very well at the DE position.
P.Woods can play 2+ seasons at DE and then for his final year at DT and it won’t hurt his NFL prospects.
If any coach can help him to make that transition, then Nick Eason is that coach.
Remember that N.Eason was an excellent DE for us in his first two seasons with us, then moved to DT where he was also a stud.

I'm amazed at HS kids size and strength nowadays!

I read somewhere that PWoo is one of the top 5 strongest guys on the team. How can a HS guy at 18yrs old be stronger than DT, LB, and OL guys that have been in strength training for 3-5yrs of college? I am sure it is dedication to be the best combined with great genes. Still amazed.

Freaks of nature is what it is.
If he truly is already one of the strongest players on the teams -- imagine what he is going to look like after 1-2 years in a major college football weightlifting program... absolutely terrifying.

I can't wait for the spring game. I hope to be there and anyone can find me because I'll be the huge guy in Horn gear if I can make it.

I see Ruke and Davis being the starters. Ruke has been an unsung hero on the DL for two years now. Woods needs to add 30lbs before he is a major problem.

Umm, who is the other half of the "duo"? The article only talked about one player.
