Have to agree with Dabo - regardless of the opponent, it was good to see the 2nd half response from all the guys.
I was especially impressed with Stellato. Love his apparent grit and meanness.

It is turning it over where you virtually give them 7 points or just a yard or two to get the td.

He is right, the pick six was just about as bad a play as you can have and the grounding could have very easily been the same type of disaster. The 4th and 1 fumble was 2 really bad plays in one. We should never have gone for it in that situation, doesn’t matter who we are playing, and the execution was just as bad as the decision. We had another bad snap just like that later in the game but it bounced right into the RB’s hands so it was a loss of yardage but not a turnover. I also agree that those things should be fixable.

The key part of Swinney’s statements about Klubnik were as follows:
Swinney said regarding Klubnik. “You saw this heart. You saw his moxy and, you know, again, just, a kid that I think is going to blossom before our eyes, but we’ll have some ups and downs as we go.”
This isn’t a gloom and doom message. If we win 8 to 10 games this season, then we will have had a good to very good season. Tiger Nation needs to sober up as far as expecting to be in CFP every 2 years.
Backto Klubnik. Did any of you watch how TX QB Evers did against Alabama? He was outstanding … last night. Did any of you watch Evers early in 2022 season? Evers was mediocre. Evers was so mediocre at OH State as a true FR in 2021 that he felt the need to change teams. In other words, super HS QB Quin Evers took two full years being in college before he became the ‘entire package’ that we saw yesterday. Be reminded that Evers and Klubnik were both highly rated coming out of HS. Klubnik is only in his second year. Klubnik won’t be leading Clemson back to the CFP this year.
Next year will be the time when we will see if our expectations for Klubnik get fulfilled.

You seem to have an ‘everything is perfect’ or ‘everything is a disaster’ viewpoint.
Being a fan of any sports team must be very frustrating to you, since the ‘disaster’ scenario in your view plays out for all but one team each year.
Got any hobbies?

I kinda have to agree with the other poster that regardless of Cade not being a DW or TL we should still expect to make the playoffs. In 2017, We made the playoffs with Kelly Bryant as QB. By no means was the 2017 team great as evidenced by the Friday night loss against Syracuse but we still had great receivers & great defense. It’s not just Cade, we’ve fallen off at multiple positions on offense.

mentality after the run we went on is one of the most mind boggling things i read on here. with our facilities and the price we pay our head coach along with recruiting it is neither entitled or overly big expectations to make the playoffs each year. i just expect best to be the actual standard

Couldn’t agree more, I understand the bar is high but we’ve seen that it can be done & so now we have high expectations every year. The minute we allow ourselves to lower our expectations then just kiss being a perennial powerhouse goodbye. If you don’t expect to be the best every year then you definitely won’t be. I think legitimate expectations should be competing for a Nat’l Championship every year by the making the playoffs or at least at a minimum be competitive for a playoff spot at the end of every season. That’s not crazy level expectations, it’s the expectations of every top 10 team in the country. So if we’re saying that’s no longer the expectations then we have the expectations of a Top 20 school or lower. That’s just the truth.

Let me sum it, dadgum it! : Cade has one more game to practice for the big time. And I really think he will come into his own very soon. But if he doesn’t, if he continues to bungle handoffs and pass erratically, then that will be the second straight 5-star QB recruit who struggled at Clemson. Yes, Cade was on fire in the second half yesterday, but it was against a defense that might not be able to stop the offense at Daniel High School. But let’s be positive and hope we really can run the table from here on. Go Tiguhs!

If I were Beaux, I don't think I would be looking forward to Dabo's Monday "lesson."

Is it just me or is Dabo starting to sound like Tommy Bowden with the comments on stats and how we should win those games? That brings back memories I have suppressed for years.
If they don’t fix the turnover issue we will lose a bunch of games this year. Charleston Southern is not much better than a good HS team and we let them make some noise early.
I like the fire we are seeing from TJ Parker, Stellato, and other young players. This team needs some tough love and some leadership. Not seeing enough Dog out there.

Let’s see how the next two weeks go before we throw in the towel on this season. The Duke loss was tough. I was a junior the last time Duke best a top 10 team, it was Clemson back in 1989. We were loaded that year and only managed 7 points.
What I’m getting at is let’s see how this team responds. The ‘89 squad finished 10-2.
Cade has 3.5 games under his belt. Does anyone on here remember how bad the FSU QB was his first three seasons. He was terrible and now is one of the best.
The turn overs are coachable and I believe our coaches are capable. I’m not giving up on this team

OMG I'm sick of all the doom and gloom on here. Change a few terrible miscues and we are 2 and 0. Dabo & company will get this stuff straightened out by this coming weekend. We will be able to give FSU all they want. Be positive to get positive results, Dabo's way!!!
