Timeouts

Sep 6, 2022, 3:39 PM

This guy needs to spend some time studying how to use timeouts...

How about the 10 second runoff?

Sep 6, 2022, 3:53 PM

Idiot took that time out to halftime. One of the worst coaching jobs I've seen from a Power 5 coach.

ESPN sideline reporter actually addressed that with Collins at halftime.

His response: ~~no doubt in my mind that if I call timeout right there (:45 seconds left) that Dabo reconsiders and goes for the first down (on 4th and 4 on his own side of the field). I just wanted to get his offense off the field.

I think we can reasonably accuse Coach Collins of coaching in fear instead of confidence right there. Collins and his team impressed me for about 20 game minutes last night; than he reverted to normal.

I disagree. Not about the timeouts, but about the team in general. Both their offense and defense were impressive, at times. Their dline and backers were through our online most of the night. DJ had someone in his face half the night. If their wr could catch the ball, the outcome would have been different. Half a dozen drops that would have been significant. Simms was vastly improved. It was one game, but I would not be surprised if they were challenging that division at the end of the year. Miami and Pitt are their only real competition.

I was also impressed by their qb and how he played. As long as they get the ball last they can beat UNC.

I enjoyed more where Dabo made him use his last timeout and then smiled because he got him to burn it. That was a funny moment.

That is the demeanor of a Dead Man Walking. Right about now,

there's probably even a few amongt the Techies that would like to have Pawl Johnson and his look of ever suppressed flatulence back on the sideline.

:)

LMAO BC, thinking about a really old saying that goes way back for longer than I can remember, be careful of what you wish for bc, you may get it. I wonder what the Paul Johnson haters are are wishing for now!!!
