Time to move on -- Get ready for UGA
Jan 4, 2021, 8:08 PM
|
|
For some reason I'm more jacked about seeing the new team than I was watching this past years team.
Maybe because my expectations were so high because I had seen what they were capable of.
Ready to see who returns and who puts in the work and stands out.
GO TIGERS

That game will be very similar to the last game in Athens. They will be led by Zamir White much like they were with Todd Gurley. Lets just hope we are able to contain him a little better.
Should be a great game!

If we lose to Georgia, the season will be over. That’s my only concern next year,

In the playoff era, it’ll be fine. One loss conference champion, as long as it is close and the rest of the season is strong.

Bama and OSU are in. And if there is an undefeated team in the PAC and Big 12, they’ll be in over Clemson.

How ya figure? Still won't be anyone in the ACC within two touchdowns of Clemson next year. The Tigers are winning the ACC and likely in the playoffs. A loss to UGA may make you sad but it hardly wrecks the season.

No way! Losing the first game of the season to a probable playoff contender will not put us out of the playoffs.
Clemson is a proven winner and has won 2 national titles in the past 6 years. We are no longer an upstart. And if Dabo has become the new villain in College Football (As some are now saying) then he will bring ratings.
Lose to Georgia and win out...Clemson is in the playoffs without a doubt.
Hopefully we win that game and don't have to worry about it. I would say we could win that game and lose to a team we have no business losing to (Syracuse & Pitt in previous seasons) and still get in as long as we win the conference and only drop the one game. If we lose to Georgia AND have an inexplicable loss...THEN we are out.

The remaining schedule after Georgia is very weak.

Doesn't matter. Clemson has put itself in a category with the blue bloods of College Football.
Yea we got beat pretty good our last 2 playoff outings, but one was to an all time great LSU team and the other was to a Fresh OSU team during the craziest year in sports history. Clemson still has the 2nd most playoff wins and tied for most championships during the playoff era.
Don't forget that it hasn't been that long ago that we beat OSU 31-0 and spanked what was one of the best Alabama teams ever. We will also have one of the biggest stars in College Football at QB with DJ aka BIG CINCO!

Based on what our defense has devolved to in big games, you gotta figure we will have to score 60 to win. Not sure the new offense can keep that kinda pace.

I'm not sure Kirby Smart or any UGA fan shares your enthusiasm. They know what is about to happen to them next season. They better pray for a covd19 cancellation.

It will be interesting to see how much our young players develop over the summer. I’m excited to see the new recruits. I believe the future is very bright .
