Yeah it should. I'm astounded (and shouldn't be) by some of the posts trotted out over FAU and Miami winning and the fact no other P5 conference is in except the acc.
It's been all over the news about the one seeds all being out etc. It's the first time in tournament history that has ever happened. First time EVER. First time 3 in the final 4 are first timers.
Personally I think it's great. But in no way can anyone glean anything except an anomaly. It's embarrassing and ludicrous to hear brown L and Neff try to skew the narrative the system is broken.

The only thing that's broken is keeping a coach around who Practically no one wants. And by that I mean inside the Clemson sports world, and outside. Nobody wants the guy. How do we get so lucky to have 14 years of this clown where he's won 2 NCAA tournament games, two NCAA tournament appearances,( I don't give them credit for the first one because it was a play-in game with all Purnell players) and doesn't even make the postseason about half the time. Watching this guy continuing to cash checks while giving Clemson fans The middle finger makes me sick. If he had any integrity, he would take his millions, resign and just go away

this happens every year when some certain conference makes it farther than some other conferences in the tournament. It is always wrong.
going on a 6 -7 game winning streak is not the same as playing an entire season of basketball.

I was actually wondering if this year's Final 4 set some records with schools playing by conference but also schools playing by seeds? NIL can definitely create parity but nothing created parity in college basketball more than the FBI shoe scandal. Look at all the "Bluebloods" that haven't competed since the busts. Duke, UNC, Louisville, Cinci, Memphis, Kentucky, Kansas, Florida, etc, etc. These schools got the majority of the 5* one-&-done players and now those players spread throughout college. But unfortunately we will start to see who has the NIL money to attract those players.

What's really made the difference is the one and done rule and the G League. The top recruits don't stay more than a year, maybe two so the mid majors and lesser major conference teams have more seniors and juniors. Continuity matters. If you go back and watch those final four teams from twenty years ago, schools like Dook, UNC, and the like had 3-4 future NBA players in their starting five. Other than an odd class here and there, I don't think we'll see that ever again.

There is no "one-and-done" rule. The circumstances that create one-and-done players is not the NCAA's doing and there's little that the NCAA can do about it.
The one-and-done effect is a direct result of the NBA Player's Union and the NBA having collectively bargained to create a minimum age limit in the NBA. This minimum age limit generally causes a one year gap between high-school and the NBA, and has the side effect of encouraging kids to fill that gap by accepting a college scholarship and playing for some school.
The NCAA cannot force a kid to not drop out of school to play in the NBA.

The rule is more than just "minimum age". A person has to be one full year removed from high school graduation, in addition to the minimum age restriction (19). So, the rule doesn't just "generally" cause a one year gap...it very specifically causes a one year gap.

Someone can graduate high school at age 15, they still have to be 19 for the NBA. So that could be a 4 year gap. I'll stick with "generally", although maybe "in nearly every case" would be better.
But the real point I wanted to make was there is NOT an NCAA one-and-done rule. One and done is the fault of the NBA.

~ 75th NET average in 23 years.
It doesn't add up to being the 38th highest paid coach in the country.
Happy Monday. Go Tigers!
