Not to sound like a boomer here, but can you not put the phone in the pocket or leave inside for long enough to mow the grass? I think you gave yourself an ID-10-T award for the day.

Sort of like how after all of this, I realized the phone holder doesn't allow the throttle to be fully depressed creating an intolerable ergonomic situation.

You know, I think I understand what you mean. Did you know some people don’t make their own chicken stock when they make chicken noodle soup? How do these people live with themselves?

That's one of them. Every time I cut my own grass all I think about is that its an hour of my life wasted that I'll never get back.
I thought another thing I graduated from was doing my own oil changes, but even after paying the dealer jacklegs to do it, they still won't, so I'm back to doing that.

A. An after lawn mowing beer is one of the great pleasures in life. 2. I would never allow another man to put his hands on my lawn.

If I gotta do it, there is no reason I'm not gonna be completely shithouse wrecked while I'm frittering away my life.
As far as someone else not touching it...that does not compute. I could be doing anything other than cutting grass, and usually am, and be more productive.
Y'all must not have had to do that crap when you were young. I started cutting grass when I was about 10, took a brief timeout in my late teens-early 20's, and didn't stop again until sometime in my mid-late 30's. that's like 25+ years of cutting grass.
That's enough.

Sir, you don't want to be drinking and mowing. Just one crooked line can turn the whole thing to sh it.
Lawn care and gardening is a hobby for me. It's something I enjoy doing.

I was really debating with myself on whether to get on it.

I have weight issues, but it's not like I'm Mama June big. I primarily struggle with impulse control (especially when the gummy kicks in) and getting into a fitness routine again (although I have a nice little home gym I built). But diabetes runs in my family and semaglutide is a good drug for that, and I figured why not tap the easy button to help bring down weight while I get my crap together and make exercise a habit again, especially since feeling healthier makes that easier.
In my mid 20s I went from about 260 to 180 in less than a year. Could have dropped more but I blew up my bhole deadlifting, and then shortly after that moved into my own place and lost my gym buddy.
Pounds don't come off as easily now that I'm pushing 40, but WeGovy has shown me I still have some rapid weight loss potential. I feel like if I can get back down to 200 I'll be more able to maintain off of WeGovy, since the comorbidities of obesity are now much more real.

As long as you can tolerate the side effects and the cost, it’s good medicine. I don’t think a lot of docs prescribing it have a good end game in mind though, clearly not like writing for a statin or aspirin, people can’t just stay on it forever.

1 year old got sent home again. I guess antibiotics aren't antibioticking.
then she threw up while I was on a contract call w/ a bunch of lawyers (which, in and of itself - shoot me in the face) . no tellin how much it cost to clean those sheets while they all waited.
at least I got a run in during lunch. I picked a hell of a week to get back to not drinking.

I feel absolutely no better, have lost no weight, have gained exactly zero mental clarity, and recently even my sleep schedule has kinda gone toshit. My BM's are no longer as clockwork as a swiss watch, and my gall bladder or liver or something over there has started giving me some pain at times. I'm whiped out by 10 pm whether I woke up 15 hours or 2 hours prior.
Come sometime in April, I'm back on the wagon, or off the wagon. Or whatever the eff it is when I drink cheap beer while I drive my boat around the harbor.
Not drinking is stupid.

I am just trying to give my liver a little bit of a break coming off of the bender last week with the conference etc. I do like getting into a cadence where I'm not drinking during the week, at least Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday nights for sure. Most times can stay dry on Thursday as well
I do like to think I've gotten a little bit more mature in that I don't really get drunk that often anymore
