I didn't think the news would stay quiet long.

I tried to let as many know last night and if I missed you, I deeply apologize...I was on the phone until late last night trying to let folks know about Bruce. I'm sure chick will still put the info out when she has it all gathered, but the bottom line is we lost a true legend and the seed that sprouted into a very large circle of great friends that started through his STI tailgate.
A lot of us are hurting today.

been around he always seemed like a good dude. Always seemed to calm the craziness and I don't think I ever saw a post where he bad-mouthed anyone or anything.
I know his "real-life" friends will miss him, but so will the Lunge.
Prayers going up...

Even if he disagreed with you. Something all of us, including me, could learn from.

He was a master of the "agree to disagree" philosophy.

He didn't stick around arguing trying to be right, just went on his way and treated you kindly anyway. Yes, we could learn from that a lot.

That's exactly who he was.

Race, religion, sexual orientation, politics, the team you're a fan of...there just wasn't anything he couldn't get past to be your friend. An absolute rare breed in this world and somebody who we should all aspire to be more like. We're all better for having known him, we're all a little worse for not having around now.

Definitely who he was. Years ago he told me he didn’t post as much because he didn’t like the fact we made a lot of jokes and innuendos about gay people. I honestly took that to heart and it opened my eyes to being more conscious about what I say and do not only in here but in real life. So I can honestly say that Bruce helped me to try and work on becoming a better human being and for that I am eternally grateful.

Well said. I woke up at midnight and thought about people I needed to contact that I forgot last night. Like I said in another post, it wasn’t intentional but we were all truly numb to the news we had just heard.
I give much credit (or blame) to Celtic for me having the opportunity to meet so many of y’all in person.
I feel like we should have a VomitFest this year in memory and in honor of him. It would be an absolute blast to sit around and have a some drinks and tell Bruce stories.

It's been several years, but he's one person on here I had the privilege of throwing back a few beers with him. He was always a genuine, nice man. I didn't know him as well as some of you, but I would wager he never met a stranger. Just an all-around great dude.
We didn't always agree on topics and in politics, but he was a guy who never made it personal or hated someone for having a different opinion. I'm sorry I didn't make an effort to meet up with him again at some point to throw back a few more. He was a pleasure to talk with and just be around.
I hope he's enjoying a few cold ones in the sky right now.

A sad, sad day. I didn't know Celt personally but TMAILed with him some and he came off as completely genuine and friendly. Exactly as he conducted himself online. I wish I had known him sooner. Truly nice people are a rarity in this world.
