Would have beaten us regardless. Nobody is stopping them this year from what I've seen.
If we couldn't handle Olave and Sermon, then it was going to be a massacre of epic proportions.
Huge shout out to Ohio State for taking a bullet for us and being the sacrificial lamb for Alabama.
They spared us in a huge way.

He’s better than the Heisman winner. Ouch.

It will take them replicating their performance against us, and then some.
This was Bama's year by far. Hats off to them.

National championship this season. I honestly think in their minds they assumed our matchup would be the title game.
It's really a win-win. If they win, then there is no shame in our loss. If they lose, then we get to say "told you so" about having to play Bama year in and year out.

Bama the last few weeks I don't think anybody is going to beat them; at least not without Bama making a ton of mistakes on offense. That three headed juggernaut offense of Jones/Harris/Smith is going to score a ton of points on whoever they play because no one really has the talent to match up with them.
Ohio State invested a lot of emotional/motivational capitol in their year long focused revenge game with Clemson. The Bucknuts are about to get an education in what it means to play a football championship machine that doesn't rely on emotion and has more talent at every position on the field than any other college football team in the country. Hyping themselves up on the "disrespect" card in order to generate motivation ain't going to save the Bucknuts from the unemotional Saban controlled machine.
Unless Bama all of a sudden completely forgets how to play football, the Tide rolls to yet another National Championship and it will never be in doubt after the first quarter.

Beat the crap out of the Bucks injury wise. A couple of lineman went down, and for all we know Fields has a fractured rib, or atleast a deep bone bruise (though he still torched us).
I think Bama takes control early and erases all doubt of who has been the best team all season.

The refs will be backing them up 5 for holding and that will stop. Once it does and they get to fields they are going to make them look stupid! Fields will go out on a stretcher

Totally agree with what everyone is saying about Bama. Fields won't have 10 seconds to stand there and pick them apart. They'll know he's pretty much one dimensional.
That said. We knew he was one dimensional after the hit, and seemingly didn't adjust. Think that's where not having Nolan hurt. Thought we'd sell out and bring the house.

None of our gameplan made much sense

We have blitzed the entire Venables era, with great success.
They are gashing us on the ground all game, and we never blitz all game?
Powell is dominating early, then we forget about him until late? I don't think our coaches had the right philosophies before the game even started...

This is just wrong. We did blitz. Not every play, but we did not get home on many plays.

Tabby,
I agree that they might be flat against Bama. But if they are not, they have their own 3 headed beast - Fields, Sermon, Olave - that looked prettydamnedgood last night.
If OSU can play the way they played last night it could be a helluva game.

Bama 2020 is LSU 2019. Can you imagine having to play in that conference every season?

Well they’ll definitely beat up on Ohio State now, thanks to Skalski’s classless and unnecessary play. He is an embarrassment to our team. We are above that.

Just imagine if Clemson played in the SEC West and you had to deal with them every year. Throw in all the other teams in the SEC and you are bound to slip up against 1 of them every year.

Agreed, that’s why I laughed at all the young bucks here telling LSU “welcome to the big leagues.”
ACC is a gift. But it was a curse last night.

But yes, playing Bama every year would not be easy. Much like how our ACC foes feel about us.
