May very well turn out to be the biggest hire of the Dabo era. Right up there with Mike Reed and Venables.
Feeling good about the OL next year!

This year will be the test. Third year so most players will be "his" so to speak.
Has definitely looked the part thus far.

That’s the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard, man had the defense ranked number one by ESPN efficiency rating and you wanna talk about “LeTs sEE yeAr tHreE wiTH HiS plAyERs” The man had called elite games and has recruited some elite talent, y’all get on my nerves trying to undermine our coaches accomplishments from the couch.

Wes has been fantastic. But I've been watching football long enough to realize years 3-4 are better indicators of future outcomes. Most every starter will have been someone he had a direct hand in recruiting and coaching.
Dabo took off in year three. I expect Wes to do the same, but we'll see!

I tend to disagree and think can cade can improve but even if he doesn't , the offensive coordinator is responsible with figuring out a gameplan that works to his strengths ....if that means run the ball a thousand times, then so be it

who will allow them to beat Michigan in the playoffs. He was the difference in the game against Georgia, who had an immobile QB that the announcers suggested Alabama knew right where to find - 5-7 yards behind the center.
Looking forward to watching Cade with another 10 pounds of muscle, another year in Riley's system, an offensive line he can trust, and 13 receiving options he didn't have at the end of this year.

If Cade was playing like that we’d look entirely different. I mean Bennett especially was phenomenal.
I dont agree with suggestions based on their level of play. Way way better than Cade Klubnick right now.

2 different OCs in 2 years on campus.
Pro QBs can’t overcome a steady voice at OC, so we shouldn’t expect a young QB still learning the speed of the game at this level.
This upcoming year will be very telling for Cades future at QB for Clemson.

Cade is more than competent enough to run this offense. However, the coordinators job is to play to the team's strengths. Next season will be a better indicator of future success. Year 2 in the system for Cade and many more weapons available.

I'm hoping Cade becomes more comfortable as a game manager next season. Settling down in the pocket, taking what's there, and realizing that each possession should end in some type of a kick (punt, FG, or extra point after TD). We aren't Washington or Texas. We have championship defense year in and year out. He doesn't need to press or be perfect by any stretch of the imagination.
Matt Luke may be the missing piece. If Cade feels confident in the OL then I think we will see him settle down and play within himself.

He panics and runs for his life.
Watch any great QB - they know how to buy time and help an OL. Defenses get to a QB within 2-4 seconds. The QB needs to buy time.

Statistically speaking, the numbers were not as bad as one might have expected given some of the results. Completion rate of 63% and 19 TDs vs 7 INTs is not horrible for your first full year as a starter. His pass protection was suspect at times and our WRs had a lot of drops.
The biggest problem was his mistakes seemed to come at the absolute worst times and he had problems getting through his progressions and finding open WRs, who actually were open more than advertised. He had happy feet at the wrong times and there are some technique issues they really need to work on. He tends to float his deep balls and throws off his back foot too much under pressure. He needs to learn to step into his throws and that will help with some of the accuracy issues.
I'm really hoping this is the season the light comes on for him but I'm also very concerned about our lack of depth and a solid backup. If he goes down, we are in serious trouble.

You would be scared behind that line too, that kid stood in the pocket and took shots this year. Go back and count how many passes he had dropped. Swear yall don’t watch the games yall just look at the box scores.
