Most Auburn folks are pretty confident

I've heard that they will beat us by 10-14 points. I just took a look at some of their messages boards and heck they talking NC. All I know is, beating them 4 times in a row will be a beautiful thing.

This is a quote from a previous AU co-worker to me recently:
"#36 will run thru them like knife through butter and it’s hard to win if you don’t score with your new QB, WR and RB this year !"
This is #36 36 Pettway, Kamryn RB SO 6-0 240 Montgomery, AL Prattville

Actually it is Scott-Elliot (with a side of K Bryant) vs K Steele that should make any Clemson person all nice and fuzzy feeling inside.

They like their 10+ win streak being in the "SEC" even though they play mediocrity week in and week out. They get handed a spot in the Championship year in and out almost.

When have either of those two teams dominated Auburn. Both teams are on a downward trend. More like they are overly sensitive for being the red headed step child to Bama in their own state. That would be a more accurate way of putting it

returning pretty much. Also have some good young receivers. If not for the QB transfer, I'd like our chances better. They are being picked to be the prime challenger to Bama in the west. Still, they were the Sugar Bowl rep last year.
I guess they were the cure for Oklahoma's post season losses to Clemson the previous two years. The Sooners handled them.

Their quarterback is a transfer that played against high school defenses before going to auburn. Good luck with that Clemson defense.

Here's the thing.
Their QB looked pretty good playing against B12 defenses. Not sure how good he's going to look from here on out. He won't put up the #'s he did in the B12. Just ask any SEC fan how bad B12 defenses are, right?
Plus, Malzahn has done a poor job of developing his QB's since Cam Newton. Their RB is good, and they have good defensive talent. But, they lost some serious production on that side and will likely take a step back. Plus, Kevin Steele is their DC.
Auburn fans being excited is understandable, but beating Clemson at home is a tall order, even if we are breaking in a new QB, or three.
If the turnover margin is close I like our chances.

will really hurt their defense. The DL was the best part of their defense last year.
Malzahn is on very shaky ground. If they win less than 9 games he is gone IMO.

I just don't see a Kevin Steele defense doing any better against our offense than it did against other teams when he was our DC. Granted he may not have had the same quality of players as Venables but even in his first year with Steele's players the difference was night & day

Did you watch last year's game? Steele has learned a few things since the Orange Bowl debacle and he has a vendetta against Dabo. They were very well prepared to play us last year and we struggled mightily on O. If not for DW4 and Williams making plays against tight coverage, we lose that game.
