His decision re commitment to a college football program today, and Clemson is NOT an option, which coach/program would you hope he selects for his college playing days?

If we thought he had a chance to go pro -- Michigan, Texas, or Alabama
If not -- Wake, Vandy, Hawaii, UCLA, Arizona, Arizona State, Newberry College, OK State, Kansas State, Liberty.

Lots of decent choices, but if anyone says Usuck or Ocryo St, they should be banned

In no particular order, assuming distance from home doesn't matter, and assuming the knucklehead is a legit FBS prospect - a non exhaustive list would include at least the following
Stanford, Michigan, Texas, Vanderbilt, Duke, UVA, Northwestern, Georgia, Florida, California

The one that pays the most money. Then he could transfer to Clemson and pay his own way at a proper University.

If he was talented enough to turn pro… Georgia, Alabama, Ohio State, Michigan.
If it’s just to play football and get a scholarship, and no chance to play in the pros… Stanford, Duke, UVA, Northwestern

Going pro would be UGA.
NOT going pro would be Haaaaaavad for the education and doors it could open on Wall street.

You have limited my criteria to coach/program, so I would choose Oklahoma.
Others I would consider are Georgia, Iowa, Utah and Kansas State.

I am with you on OK! I believe Coach Venables has similar values to Coach Swinney. If you are pro material, you will have that opportunity plus have a coach that will invest in you in more ways than football.

My son who is 11 has already determined if not Clemson, he will continue his athletic career at Oregon (because of the uniforms) or USC/UCLA (because it's "72 degrees every day") or Miami (he likes the 'U' logo).
If I were to provide additional input, I would suggest UGA and if he wound up there, I would still cheer if they lost. Heck, I would still wear Clemson gear at Sanford while my son racked up 8 catches for 110 yards every week between the hedges

If he is a student athlete and not a pro prospect, Hillsdale College or Liberty University.

Duke on the east coast, Stanford on the west. Runner up would be Princeton

Duke, NW, Vandy. That's if they were paying the most.
