Todd Gurley. That one crushed me. I thought we had him and I told everyone alost a year before signing day he was much better than Keith marshall.

I doubt that many people realize that Marino took an official visit to Clemson.

in the context of this game, we were in the mix with Herchel, and he may be the biggest one that ever got away. Might have been two NCs with him.

Yeah, Raekwon McMillan would have been huge. I saw him in their bowl game and he was all over the field.

I always felt like he kinda "got away". After one decent freshman year in football, he hurt himself playing baseball, then we pretty much never heard from him again.
I guess he technically never "got away", but I don't feel like we ever really "had" him.

but Bowden didn't want Dabo to waste anymore time recruiting him because we had a commit from Willy Korn.

Ronald Darby (FSU DB who would have played here from day 1 and we would have never had to put D Rob in a game) and Julius Peppers (Brian Mance told me Peppers was really close to coming but it never worked out)
