If our O line

Improves dramatically next year, how well do you think Cade can do?
His ability to make plays outside of the pocket hasn’t been great. I say that because there still could be mistakes from time to time with the line. Cade still should make more plays scrambling and not take so many sacks and intentionally grounding the ball.
But, I see Cade with lots of potential with time to pass, and when rhythm develops a bit.

A Lot better. As you said, when he's had time to get through his progression, he's laid some nice throws.

What is the status on Walker Parks? He’s coming back, right?

In my opinion Cades limitations are unfortunately not arm strength, which can be improved somewhat, are lack of field awareness. It was seen several times this year in critical situations. His and Clemson’s offensive success will greatly depend on his ability to improve under pressure. Every QB regardless of O-Line will be presented with pressure and the good ones have the field awareness to see what i isn’t always seen by the average QB’s .
But yes, he and Clemson’s offense stand a greater chance of success with at least a average O-line

It would be very nice for our OL to reach “Average”. It’d be fantastic if they became a great and dominating OL. That’s what I hope for. Maybe these new coaches can get us there.

I think our O-line finished average. They played good against ND and UNC and those teams we played in the win streak.
So, my point was about an improvement from average to good or great.
You are also referring to what I said about Cade’s playmaking. Yes he does need to improve, but if the line is giving up only one or two sacks a game and less pressure, that’s okay. Because he can make them when he has time.
I think the run blocking has showed most improvement, with the emergence of Mafah.

I think we will see a hige improvement from Cade if the line improves enough tongive hime time. I think our offense had to be very limited b/c there wasn’t time to run plays that take a few seconds to develop. Mafah should benefit from better line play which also will help Cade.

It will help but I watched the Clemson/Kentucky bowl game replay yesterday since I was working and listened on the radio when they played. Not only did he miss some open receivers but Hasselback, the announcer who is good, mentioned several times where Cade didn't make the right read and should have thrown the ball to a certain receiver but throw it elsewhere or scrambled for little gain or sacked.

To me the things Hassleback saw comes with experience. Tom Brady did not start his sophomore year but look what happened with coaching and experience. Not saying Cade has that potential but if he develops who knows his potential.

Assuming he gets these numbers in the 12-game regular season that would be 2 to 2.5 passing TDs per game. If Mafah can average at least 100 yards/game rushing in addition to that, I'd probably be fairly happy if our defense continues to play at a high level. I would also hope the INTs stay at your lower range of 6 which would average out to 1 every 2 games.

The coaches need to move away from behind the line to 5 yd passes

This predictability results in Defenses jamming the Tiger o-line and blitzing.

He still has to see the field and get the ball out sooner. He needs to learn to throw the receivers open/anticipate where they will be instead of throwing a little late. I do think he can be really good

he just needs 1 mid-late round NFL WR to shine

he literally has no one to pass to
he wouldn't need an OL with a 1-2round draftee WR
