Should we brag about the ACC as Coots & their conference does for the SEC?

I say NO..since we are for Clemson 110% & for the ACC Less than 10%.
Of course that's contradictory to how that conference's schools feel and as such they have bonded together over the many years to publicize their conference & essentially create a monster called the SEC.
Of course they've been able to sustain this bragging & sticking together by winning a lot of games, and NC's.. And aligning with ESPN.

Our conference has been crappy so we don't like it. Their conference has been very good, so they like it. They talk about their difficult conference because it makes them look better, and we don't talk about ours because it makes us look worse.
We used to talk about head-to head when it favored us... we never talked about head-to head when it stopped favoring us.
Now we have scoreboard.... which is the only thing that matters.

When did head-to-head stop favoring us against the coots? The last time they had more head-to-head wins over us was 110 years ago.

to be in. Due to our conference affiliation we are much less likely to live vicariously through other programs. We rest on our own performance alone.

do with ourselves. Simply pulling for a team to beat another team isn't what #### lovers do. You guys actually start to think that what you conference mates do is an actual extension of the the success of your own program. You guys actually have attached pride to other schools that routinely beat on you.
Even beyond that, there are overwhelmingly more negative posts about FSU on here than positive. Whereas the best thing that ever happened to South Carolina Football was Nick Saban coaching at LSU and Bama.

I personally don't think there is anything wrong with pulling for your conference as long as your school can back it up. A strong conference schedule makes everyone look good and the people that say they would only pull for their team would quickly reconsider if their team were suddenly stuck in a conference like the AAC next year. I'll pull for Clemson anytime they play an OOC opponent for example and hope they do well because I know that in the long run it will help my own team. The only time I think you should keep your mouth shut about bragging about your conference is if you're a perennial bottom feeder and that's the only thing that you've got going for you.

then still NO. The SEC and their affiliation garbage is gonna putter to a halt by mid season for the coots anyway. They'll be talking wimminz B-Ball and Equestrian after the first six games.
Even if we were IN the SEC, I'd STILL hate the rest of the SEC and pull for Clemson and Clemson only.

I don't cheer for any other original ACC members except Clemson because of the Swofford Shenanigans in the '80s. (Except against the Coots). I tend to pull for VT, FSU, GT, Miami, Louisville, and Pitt out of conference though.

I do not get that attitude. A stronger, more respected ACC equals a stronger and more respected Clemson in the eyes of the nation. We should always pull for any ACC team against an outside opponent..... and wave the ACC banner when it happens!!!

The NC schools won't ever be good enough at the same time for the ACC to be considered a great conference. I'd rather tobacco road stay pretty bad and we continue to bring in some of the best NC recruits.
