Sammy could run them there. He's faster than a plane anyway.

Forgive me if I missed the reason, but why exactly are they stopping? Didn't they say that using state planes is a win/win for us and the state? What are we going to do now?

This is a simple case of a few legislators.....

who also happen to be $CU alums/fans having a major case of the red a$$ because Dabo continues to out-recruit Spurrier and the PeeCocks. As if no longer using the state planes is going to change that.

Don't think that's the reason, because the results aren't very obvious on the field. Clemson has out-recruited SC for the past 8-10 years.

Going private would make sense...I mean, it would be an admirable contract. You get to say your little airline takes care of Clemson University.

I kept hear from UCS fans about this plane thing and I do not understand it either. It is cheaper for us and Clemson Football money goes back to the state. Seems like a win-win , but these UCS fan congressmen made a big deal, first acting like Clemson was not paying for it and then it was just to hurt Clemson recruiting and Clemson in general.

Iptay has plenty of money to buy another plane..... And now they won't get the benefit of our dollars to maintain their plane and staff.
Can't say I blame them.....I don't want to hear the whining either

When the little ####### presented this on WIS, he claimed we used these planes at tax payer cost. Nothing was said about Clemson actually leasing the planes. Pissed me off!

There is absolutely no good reason why our state government (read: tax payers) should be paying to fly football coaches around to beg students to attend college.

Did WIS write this?
Jun 12, 2013, 1:36 PM
|
|
"After the legislature found out about Clemson's use of the state planes, the university stopped using them for football recruiting."
That makes it sound like Clemson was doing something wrong, which they were not.

That news release from Clemson was fantastic. "Oh, don't help the state? Okay, if you insist."
What a bunch of morons these government officials are.

Since Watson has us moving into the state of Georgia maybe we could rent the Georgia state plan and help the state of Georgia tax payers. I work for state government and these guys making these decisions would blow your mind.

The only thing that blows my mind is why so many politicians and bureaucrats are still there....look at fed and state deficits and any moron could see they don't know chit. And the bureaucracy is worse than the politicians.....it's a machine
