How does Georgia Tech defend us Saturday?

Do they load the box and dare us to beat them with our 75th ranked passing attack or do they take the Louisville approach and stay back and encourage us to be patient and run the ball, thus shortening the game so they might have a chance to keep it close and win in the end?
Which poison will they pick?

Wayne train is going to have a big day. I think they try to take away the corners to negate AS and defend deep.

Probably the latter. Louisville and Notre Dame both played us close by defending the pass more than the run, might as well follow that and try to get lucky. Just my guess. I can't wait to play a team that decides they want to stop the run, though. It's going to be so much fun to see Deshaun have a chance to really let it fly.

In my opinion, Notre Dame didn't play us close... But either way, I can't imagine they try to play our receivers tight and load the box. But I really hope they do.

As soon as PJ figures out we can run on his linemen and LBs he'll load the box.

He doesn't have the talent to handle us and he knows it. He'll try to take the run, he'll try to take away the underneath routes and he'll try to stop us deep. We'll beat him in all three areas.
I honestly think we can run on them with 6 or 7 in the box. I predict we will only see plays that we have already seen and there are plays in the books that we won't see until FSU comes to town.

My guess is the latter...that's how they defeated us last year and got the pick 6's. I don't think they'll change what worked (albeit against Cole mostly) until they see they have to. But guessing you'll see us work the running game more to force them to open up the passing better.

Stack the box to stop the run (put in a DE contain to stop Watson). Play man free press. Take away the under routes and force us to throw deep.
Reasoning: with Watson and Gallman in the backfield it is like defending a Wildcat so stack the box to keep the run away along with a DE contain to keep Watson and Gallman in the box where we have the most numbers.
Passing wise, When we lost our deep threat receiver, we may make some great 30-60 yard throws, but those are probably going to be few and far between. Therefore, stop the under routes which is the majority of the passing routes. Run man with a FS and/or SS free reading eyes for the possible pick. Also have them in press (I don't know the athleticism of GT). If we can match athlete to athlete, we can stick with the route. Also creates less confusion for the dbs.
Just my 2 cents. I could be wrong.

Based on game film this year

You gotta stack the box and stop the Wayne Train and DW4 designed runs. Outside of Scott/Renfrow/Leggett we don't appear to have any other threats in the passing game. Thats why we are gonna need WRs to step up. DW4 goes for 250-300 with 3 passing TDs and 1 rushing.

Agree. I would load the box and man up on our receivers.Blitz with my safety because our wr corps is suspect.
