We had steaks. Sam's ribeyes. Brought them to room temp. Added very light seasoned salt. Then heated a skillet to 550+ with a thin layer of grapeseed oil, then sprinkled 2 parts thyme and 1 part rosemary lightly with a pat of butter on a 550 degree skillet. 2 minutes each side to sear then 350 for about 8-10 minutes on the grill. Perfect medium rare. Didn't even WANT ketchup or anything.
Also had squash and zucchini and riiiiiiice. Squash and zucchini had the bourbon peppercorn pepper, coarse, with butter and some salt.
Also had a glass of a nice 2017 Cab because a good steak deserves a good, aged, slightly musty/earthy strong red wine.

Decided to go low key so I picked up 4 pieces of fried chicken at the Ingles in Sinurcur. It was raw inside, went in the trash, so we had black-eyed peas, green beans, carrots and mac & cheese.
