HC if Saban were to leave for the NY Giants... Just a little intrigue to add to the game...
Personally, I don't think he would take it for now....

Yes he goes around and speaks at clinics and to small colleges and high school. Gets paid for that too. He doesn't seem to be hurting at all. If wanted to coach he could still find somewhere. I think he was getting paid by 3 different schools at one point.

I think Dabo is far too smart to make that move.
At this point Clemson will never fire him and he's shown he can win a national championship at Clemson. No reason to switch unless he just truly loves Alabama.

Finebaum personifies the "arrogant MF" attitude so stereotypical of the Wal-Mart, community-college SEC fan pervasive throughout the Southeast and Deep South
It is still ironic to hear the callers on his show on ESPN when the network itself has long been a champion of liberal views towards sport

I certainly want Dabo to stay as long as he still wants to coach. But if he were to go, who could blame him. I think most everyone will agree, money will not be a factor. Sure he's making bank now and Bama would thrown more at him. As it is with BV, money will not be the motivation behind the decision...his choice would be his heart, his family, his calling.

Anyone who listened to Finebaum's interview of Dabo knows that Finebaum is full of chit if he thinks Dabo is leaving Clemson.
Dabo spent about 15 minutes telling Finebaum why he wouldn't leave here and particularly why he turned Saban's previous offer down. But hey, what child doesn't dream?

Dabo is the ONLY coach to make us stop talking about Danny Ford, and I'm sure he knows that. Why would anyone want to go to Bammer and try to make people stop wearing Bear Bryant hats or Saban Superman shirts? THAT's just DUMB.

Saban's going to retire as HC at Bama right? No way would you leave that job for an eventual unceremonious retirement from the NFL. The question is how much longer does he stay at Bama.
I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility for Dabo to leave Clemson one day for HC at Bama. It's his home, alma mater, and seems like there's some genuine affection there. It pains me to think of him leaving what he's built. I definitely don't think he'd he worried about being the guy after Saban etc, I think he's very confident and would not second guess his abilities to continue as a great coach wherever he goes.
My hope is that CDS realizes what he's building at Clemson and to what degree it's "his" program. He can build a perennially elite program that's 100% his and build his own mythology. He's got a great start on it, it would be so hard to walk away. That's the biggest factor in our favor. That and the amazing Clemson family.

I don't think he goes. He has the opportunity to do some huge things here still. In the future, probably.
It's always hard to follow someone who is extremely successful no matter who you are.
Saban has been successful because Bama was hungry to win again and was given full reign. He got the big boosters who were running things out of the way.
Bama is back to where they were attitude wise pre-Shula.
