Pitched the opening game of the 1980 CWS. Broke our hearts when he won Game 4 of the 1992 World Series pitching for the Toronto Blue Jays against the Atlanta Braves.

If we would have had any decent pitching when he played, we would have easily won the CWS

A lot to choose from and many different time periods of success. Obviously Bill and Jack had many great players. I’m 31 so I’m bias towards Jack and Monte players. Brad Chalk for one. Could hit anywhere. Best bunter I’ve ever seen. Never hit a HR in his Clemson career but didn’t need to. Great defensively in CF as well. I appreciate a well rounded player more than someone that’s just a slugger. Billy McMillon simply because he worked with me as a kid. He really helped me with my swing at the age of 14. Got me focused on being inside and out instead of rolling over outside pitches. There have been better players but I love these 2

Benson and Beer then more recently Bryce Teodosio. Lee didn’t help develop at the plate but he sure could cover centerfield. Some of the most clutch catches I can recall.
Looking to the future, Cam Cannarella is special. He could be on my short list before he leaves.
Never got to see Greene play. He was after I graduated and before internet streaming of the games became a thing.

Khalil Greene for me too. You can easily argue that his senior season was the greatest of all time in NCAA baseball. Came up huge time after time that season. Including a homerun in his last at bat at DKS during the supers. Like someone said above, had we had a little better pitching that year we would have won it all. Still should have beat the coots even without. Just tightened up. Baker, Greene, and Johnson were simply a murderous offensive trio.

Jimmy Key back in the early 80s. Played the field, pitched, and was a good hitter. He went on to a very successful pro career as well as a pitcher.

I grew up on Jack's teams so I think I will go Khalil Greene, Josh Cribb and Seth Beer.
