Do you think Zach Wilson's career is done as a starter?

What do you think?

Probably so with the Jets

Yes

Dec 22, 2022, 11:02 PM

Knew he was a bust coming in. Should have never been selected 2nd overall.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

if Mike White lights it up

Dec 22, 2022, 11:04 PM

the rest of the year, then probably. Honestly no QB is going to succeed behind that oline, they should be ashamed after letting White take that beating the other week. in the first half they were constantly in 3rd and long because of penalties and holding calls. Not what I would call a recipe for success....

Hate to say it, but he reminds me of DJU.
Confidence issues, slow to make decisions.
He will need to go to another team and restart, maybe take a year to get his act together.

I think he will be brought in somewhere as a backup though.

In certain games, DJU did bury the Clemson offense…

but he ALWAYS took responsibility. He worked to get himself better. He never blamed anybody but himself. I can appreciate that.

Wilson is a POS who takes responsibility for nothing. What does he say after the offense barely does anything?

Zach Morris was saved by the bell.

Zach Wilson looks like a guy with an abnormally tiny peener.

+1....too early to tell though. Ha

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

At a minimum, he's probably done with the Jets

Dec 23, 2022, 12:31 AM

In all likelihood, Zach Wilson is a bust. Simple as that.

To have any chance of a meaningful career, IMO, he must leave the Jets and completely dedicate himself to learning how to be a QB at the professional level. This has to happen on another team where expectations are low and home fans won't unload on him when he fails.

It's very obvious he's not into learning details and nuances, probably because it's been easy for him up to now.

Watching how he plays and the mistake he makes, I don't think Zach Wilson is driven to put in the long hours of work day-after-day off the field, in the offseason. He's like most of us and wants to spend his time doing things that interest him.

We'll learn a lot when his rookie deal runs out. He might just cut bait and enjoy his $30-$40 million in the bank.

I’m not sure anyone can survive the Jets and their whiny fans. Playing in NY must be the most miserable time ever. Two first round QBs have fallen on their faces with that organization in the last 5 years. Almost as bad as being a QB in Cleveland. Not sure which situation is worse.

I've heard the same thing about fans in Philadelphia, Cleveland, Chicago, Pittsburgh, etc. Having said that, it does appear that many athletes can't take the pressure associated with the amount of media outlets in a city the size of NY. Others thrive with all of that attention. I guess it's not easy to determine how a young athlete will handle that pressure until they're under that microscope...

Didn't you say Travis Etienne was a bust?

I think he is too young to just be written off already but he definitely needs a change of scenery.

The Jets are purgatory for young QBs...
