is that eSECpn is getting mad that Dabo is calling them out on their incompetence. Maybe the coaches did, maybe AP did, maybe CFB did, but only because they could not. They tried everything to get Bama #1, remember all the talk after the USCjr game about 1 loss Bama jumping us? The mutterings the entire season about Bama.... If Bama had a perfect record, no way Clemson is #1, we are #1 because not being number one would be obvious bias. In that regard, Clemson EARNED it. It is not a matter of respect or disrespect, it is a matter of, there is no way you could deny Clemson #1, because doing so would be obvious favoritism.
With all of that said, if you added up all of the predictions that eSECpn made the weeks leading up to the OB, you would see that OVERWHELMINGLY, pundits had OU winning. So Kornhouser, or however you spell the MNF reject, is using a simpletons straw man argument because deep down, even he knows that Clemson is not getting the due diligence the team deserves, and does not like getting called out as being an unobjective journalist, and I use the word journalist very loosely.

I personally really enjoy watching PTI, but over the years it is pretty clear Tony and Wilbon are not College Football experts. They will admit it as well and say that they don't get to watch every game. They have to cover every single sport and don't get the time to see what we watch every single weekend. All they do is repeat what their peers say about college football. Alabama earned that respect by winning the big games (a few years back) and we are right there. Life isn't fair, you have to do something spectacular for some to take notice and we will do that Monday. Keep winning like we have and we will earn the benefit of the doubt by all not just our own.
