Dabo is asked about the mindset, he said it's all about starting over. Can't win nine til you win eight, etc. Not locked in on labels or outside expectations. Wanna win the day. Have a great camp. Win the opener.

Dabo says the conference has done a lot of great things. Clemson has won on the biggest stage. As far as ACC brand, he says the league does a good job of promoting teams and there is a lot of consistency.

Playing on Monday night, Labor Day, is a challenge. Says Mike Elko is one of the best coaches in the country. And then they get back at 5 AM Tuesday morning but have to play Sat. So have to take camp and prepare

On philosophy of transfers...he said that is where the program is right now. If he was taking a new job he would use the portal. But continuity at Clemson. Seven guys came back who he wasn't expecting back. He is in Year 15, so he is in a different spot than a new coach

Swinney said the guys who have left, the majority, are graduates. Only two kids leave post-spring last two years. And Clemson is still signing the best high school players in the country.

Swinneys says Klubnik is a winner, has always been a winner, and has put the work in at Clemson. Was behind physically when he got to Clemson, now 20-25 pounds heavier.

Cade Klubnik says he is so much better at reading a defense now. Really didn't know when he arrived, but credits Hunter Helms, Paul Tyson, DJ Uiagalelei and Hunter Johnson for helping him along the way.

Cade, on Orange Bowl, said he learned they have to finish drives. He says the OB will push this team to where they wanna go this year. Had a successful year - 11-3 finish and ACC Champs - but that loss "feels a little dirty in your soul"
