touching, kind of, when Coach Swinney speaks of

"Our University". I think its safe to say he's become as enamored of the university and surrounding area as most of us are. And that'll probably come into play when other employers come calling

But do we do it for non-revenue sports?

If Oguchi Onyewu or Casey Harman wanted to come back, would they be covered as well?
This is a serious question because I have no idea if we're doing that or not.

That's a great question. I imagine the answer is yes, but I'm not 100% sure about that. Seems like if you do it for one sport you'd need to do it for all of them or you could be leaving yourself open to a law suit. I'm just guessing tho

I'm sure that the NCAA would have a problem with it if we paid full rides for equivalency sports after they left. That would just be a loophole to give full scholarships. Just tell them, play for 3 years we will give you your 1/3rd of a scholarship. Take the minimum number of hours to be eligible, leave for some reason and then come back and then we will pay 100%.

But could the NCAA do anything about it?

they can't stop a school from giving scholarships to people who aren't eligible to play sports

The schools like Vandy and others that have a huge endowment (giggity) do give their players in equivalency sports academic support. But they also offer that support to the general student population. THEORETICALLY the non-athletic dork had the same opportunity to get that scholarship support as the Friday starter. If we had something like "continuing education scholarships" open to any student that was at Clemson on financial support, left, and then came back then it might pass muster.
There's more nuance than this, but generally speaking, if its not also available to the general student body then it would be a violation under the NCAA.

"shame on you" response from his viewers. He doesn't like context because context isn't as 'feel good.'
