Interesting reaction when you think about it

All media stuff will now be remote because of a positive test. Ok. But those same players in a few days will be running into many other sweaty players who have been heaven knows where. And then there is the whole spitting on the field thing by everyone and the qb licking his hands to handle the ball that was on the field where the lugies were.

And I got the evil eye for dare telling my teenage daughter to get her shoes off of the couch the other night after she came home from an afternoon of shopping. People spit, dogs poop, people throw out diapers, etc where feet walk. Then, you think it's okay to throw your shoes up on the couch where my face lays?
NOPE!

Only my grandpa slippers or socks in the house. We live in the city and God only knows what we are stepping in/on out there.

An 8th grader in Mississippi died from Covid this morning

what if that was your son or daughter? Still don't understand people railing on masks, vaccines, and various precautions and will never understand it. Maybe I am biased because it hit my wife's family hard and we had several deaths. I wish that on no family.
There was a high school acquaintance of mine on Facebook last night arguing that the vaccines were CAUSING death because he saw a video on the internet.
Another childhood friend posted that she would NEVER get the vaccine because it wasn't FDA approved. When someone mentioned that it was probably going to be FDA approved soon and would she get it then, she said "No way!". This lady is morbidly obese and in her 50s.
I am sorry but the stupidity of people on this issue is truly mind-boggling.

including the sheep who believe all this fear crap.
Sorry for the losses in your family. I lost a close family friend to the flu about 10 years ago, so I know it hurts.

As a math teacher, I agree.

I could go on for days about what I think are the reasons but there is definitely a downward trend. Online schooling didn't do us any favors either.

Should we be concerned in the number of student suicides and the huge number of deaths from other illnesses. It is trajic we lose any child but we should not lose perspective. I have three grandchildren in Mississippi and pray they stay safe since they went back to school on August 5th.
I strongly encourage vaccinations but find masks ineffective and an issue for young kids. It is a challenge to trust the CDC because they play politics and are not consistent in their decisions.
I have not seen vaccinations run by political party at all. It appears more liberal minority citizens reject the unapproved medicines than other Americans. Maybe the media could point out the real gaps in those who are not vaccinated to help us all be a little safer.
