made the promise that he would make changes to get things right. Has his philosophy changed? It used to be you earned your playing time weekly It used to be best is the standard It used to be that we would out physical a team I don’t know the answers to these questions but this is not the same Clemson that won big games with less talent of the past.

Don't forget the defensive coordinator either.

I think the defense has played well all year and kept us in games we could have easily lost. I’m giving them grace. They can have a bad game and when they do it’s the offense that needs to step up. We haven’t seen the offense step up once, except for Cade last game during The Syracuse comeback. Pulling him immediately and inserting DJ to throw an interception was an exclamation point on our problems. We can’t score

I'd hardly say that Cade "stepped up" last game against Syracuse (except for that 2-point conversion pass). He happened to be the QB when a few of the offensive play calls actually worked.

The D Line was getting pushed around at the point of attack. The announcers said ND was running the same run play over and over, and we couldn't stop it. I don't know how much practice it would take to learn how to stop that play, but two weeks was apparently not enough. The D Line surely didn't have any resemblance of the power rangers last night.

Clemson offense has performed about how we thought they would.
Clemson defense has underperformed.
Point is, we’re not getting what we need out of either side of the ball. That’s on the coaches.

The defense got clapped by a team that made what they were going to do no secret to anyone. They knew for 2 weeks ND is limited in their ability to pass. The defense this whole season hasn’t looked good to me. Especially considering the amount of good players that returned. The line hasn’t played to their talent level, is it coaching? The back 7 is young and seemingly talented, but haven’t performed well. He won’t have a better line next year. What then? The defense needed a proven big name successful DC. He hired a guy that has no experience doing anything. It’s all self implicated that’s happened to the program. Fix it Coach Swinney. We all make mistakes, all the time. Please do what should have been done to begin with.

Clemson goes into every game with a big target on their back. We always get the best performance that the opponent can give every game. Last night was no exception. Clemson got outplayed last night on the road. I can’t explain why the Tigers were never in this game. Talent wise they should have been in control ... but they were never in control the entire game. You absolutely have to have leadership on the field to win games like this one. I didn’t see that last night. The Tigers got smashed in the face and never recovered! The really good teams ALL have a quarterback who leads the way in a game like this one. You know as well as I do that DJ does not have that quality. He didn’t have it in high school either! I don’t believe that is something you can coach. You have it or you don’t! Taking the backup out after one bad play is NO way to develop the confidence that the position requires. It’s going to be a interesting week in the football camp. I expect this team to regroup and play well against a good, but not great, Louisville team. One thing for sure ... I’ll be there and I hope that you will. I’ll never quit on this team.

I have not quit on this team. But I have not heard the resolve out of Dabo after this loss that I have heard after other embarrassing losses. Just seems something has changed other than the coordinators.

ND team is loaded with talent and now gaining traction. But this is two games in a row that Tigers got exposed and I expect Dabo to take some strong corrective action. There will not be much fun in the Clemson FB activities this week and I suspect very little talking by most of the coaches or players. It must have been a very solemn trip home and the film review this PM will be brutal for almost everyone allowed on the premises. I suspect that we are likely to see some personnel changes now and certainly in the coming off-season. The ND run game tore our vaunted defense apart--up the middle and around the ends. Best get that fixed soon because Malik C. and Louisville can run it. I am anxious to see the remedies that Dabo and staff come up with.

And the coaches knew that all ND could do was run the ball before the game. They have not been able to pass the ball all year.
